Bingo. There you go, folks. I've NEVER banned Kefka. And I am not going to. He posts a LOT, yes, and some of his posts are borderline spam. Why no ban? - He's never flamed anyone, including staff. - He's always on topic. - He always reads what was posted before him and understands thread progress before replying like an idiot. - He never asks stupid questions (especially ones answered in the FAQ). - He uses proper English, types well, and has decent grammar (no, it isn't perfect by any means, but I can understand every one of his posts, even if he misspells occasionally). Kefka is a prime example of a user who I won't ban, but people are saying that I ban people like him. I don't. I ban idiots, spammers, and tards. Kefka isn't one of them. |

| I remember when I was banned here at Acmlm's. I didn't know what spam was when I came to Acmlm's. I learned what spam was and gre from that quick. I started my own board and wasnt spamming. Anyways I got my second chance by luck. The user database got screwed up. So I was back and have hopefully prooven myself to be a better person then what people used to think I was. Anyways im back and learned my lesson. So I found out how to have fun here at Acmlm's. | |||

| Yeah, the staff are pretty serious right now. I've noticed that some of those non-posters were banned instantly. It's better to learn proper English and give reasons why a ban should be lifted, rather than re-registering just to flame admins for your own mistakes. Look at my grammar, it's quite accurate. I can remember getting banned in two situations: 1) Ranting on the old Pokemasters board about how the Orange Islands episodes of Pokemon weren't released to video. 2) Creating multiple and/or fake accounts here. They're still mentioned in my current profile. My board doesn't have a rule against asking for ROMs and other files, but nobody seems to post there anyway. Any volunteers for a revival? | I really don't think the problems lies with the staff. I just went over the list and there was only one problem I had. And I already explained that earlier. But it's not like he's going to make the whole difference in the board "sucking" or not. Now I don't want to come off as a brown noser but this is probably the best staff configuration we've had in quite some time. I'm talking about the last couple of years actually. The only problem is that a lot of them aren't as active as they used to be. Now being here for this long a time, I can say the above because I know how they all act and deal with being staff. I really don't think that's the problem. It can't be. We've had better times with WORSE staff. How come whenever something goes wrong on this board, it's always their fault? You guys do realize that a majority of the users on this board are just regular members like you and me? We make up the biggest volume of the posts/threads which just so happens to be the meat and potatos of the board experience. I don't want to sound hypocritcal or anything because I've certainly haven't been the best user lately. I had a huge attitude problem over the past weekend. (Lack of nicotine.) Looking back on it now, the whole Kario thing did get way out of hand. I'll take a lot of responsibility for it because I didn't stop eventually like others did. I went with it to the very end. :/ And I'll be the first to say it. I was a HUGE hypocrit in saying that Kario shouldn't be unbanned because some people don't change. I'm surprise no one called me out on that one. Heh... I hated it when people said that about me, especially since I thought they were wrong. Bans are one thing, but permabans can change some people. So Kario, if you read this, I apologize. I contradicted myself and that's something I don't like doing. I'm not saying the staff is perfect. They can never be perfect to all of us seeings how we all think different. But at one point, we have to stop and look at ourselves. Personally, I'm going to try to be a better poster like I was back in the early days. (Reviewed my early posts on the old board and I seemed a lot more pleasant.) I suggest the rest of you do too. Try to have a little more respect for your fellow user and quit trying to act like your words mean any more than theirs. (Yeah yeah, I know I'm guilty of it.) I was a bit hostile to Fyxe the other day and he pm'd me and instead of flaming or throwing a fit, he wanted to resolve the issue. I wish more users were like him. It would certainly make posting here a more enjoyable experience. We don't want to end up like Gamefaqs do we? Those people suck.  We're Acmlmers. To me, that's something to be a bit proud of. Hehehe, Legion. I feel that you have a good point there. People can say what they have to say without stabbing each other in the back.  I'd rather try to go and resolve things not make them worse by being a hothead about it. I know how stupid I am when my temper flares off. It's not often that it happens here, but I can be quite an ass when I do. That's one of the things why I believe the board hasn't been so welcoming lately. It's just been so consuming by a sense of grudges and people believe that they are better than the next guy at times. Hell, I'm pretty sure this discussion about the board has done some amount of good. After reading through this, I feel that the board has some hope, but... I don't know, I just feel there just needs to be a little more done. Though that's really up to Acmlm, not me. |

As you seen I hadn't posted in this thread... but I have been reading it. Severeal times even... I was commenting about it on IM's and on other boards but not on this one so...  Don't ask my why, but I was afraid all the time that people would just yell at me for saying my opinion here...Legion, I guess that I have to agree with you. maybe not 100% but like 75-90%. I should blame myself for being passive to things like this instead of being with it...  I have seen things that bother me, but instead of... commenting on it. I just chicken out and... tries to ignore it. Instead of discussing about it with somebody. And now, Gamefaqs isn't that bad (well as long you don't go to the biggest forums there...). It's far from bad... I have seen alot worser boards, I could show some of them later. And yes I stated on another board that I was worried more over Acmlm than Acmlm board...
