Mathy, as much as I hate to break it to ya, this is not a democratic board, it's an autocratic board.  Let's face it: we don't elect the staff, they are hand-picked. We don't decide who's banned or whatnot (this is a rare case, and I started it kind of along with some others by being a little shit to Yiffy Kitten  ), the staff does. The staff runs the place. Even though Yiffy Kitten attempted to make a democratic thread, the board is and probably always will be autocratic. | I don't think Kario should be unbanned because he has a record of not paying attention to the rules. 6 - 7 bans on the old board, plus the 2 bans on this board? That's 8 - 9 bans!! If he couldn't learn to go by the rules after those bans, what are the chances that he's learned it this time? | Hey, let's not forget the facts here: Kario was banned for a week. He served his time. Came back, made a few posts, and was panned again. The point is that the "he would have been banned anyways" argument is kinda shitty, because why wasn't he just permabanned in the first place, then? The obvious due process analogy is that a prisoner serves his time, gets released, does something stupid - but not illegal - and then "they" decide that he'd just end up breaking the law anyways and put him back in jail. Roughly. And anyone who's planning on saying, "well, we don't need due process here"... kindly stab yourself in the face or something. I know that. The admins are allowed to be arbitrary, but it's better when they can admit to be arbitrary. "Week's up, guess we should unban him. Oh, wait, never mind, he sucks." |

| In my opinion, I don't think he should be unbanned at all. When he was banned the first time, he should have learned his lesson but since he is permabanned now, he didn't. I have seen his recent posts and I think that he was definitely flaming and that he is an idiot for not learning his lesson from the first time he was banned. Only the administrators can make the decision of whether he should come back or not but I think that most of the people here don't want Kario back because of his stupidity. | |||
