Easy. These people do it because it's fun, and they think that being on the net and anonymus gives them liscence to act like a tard without any consequences. Simple.

1) We didn't ban based off of 1 or 2 threads but off a general census of what they were posting.
2) We're not being "overzealous" - we want to have fun too, and if the morons don;t annoy you, that's fine, but they annoy many people.
3) MARGINAL rise in intelligence? I've already seen post quality go up drastically (for the most part) in the last week.

Heh. I just get the feeling that it's more of a "ban unpopular members" than a "ban stupid members" thing. I probably don't keep track that well, but it certainly sees like that. Case in point: Kario. Comes back, posts a thread... it was a lame thread, but whatever... 100 retarded posts later, he gets banned. Now, there are plenty of threads of equal / less value that slide by... but Kario gets it. Oh well. I haven't noticed an increased intelligence level, mostly because I think you'd have to ban a hell of a lot more people to get that... there are plenty of people here that are around the "banned 9" level in general post quality.

But then again, I probably am really good at filtering out annoying people / posts. And I meant marginal in the economic sense... utility gained from raising the intelligence level by banning a member is offset by utility loss from the loss of board activity...

Anyways, here's a fun picture:

hhallahh: If you think that there are other users equally stupid, give us some examples here, we'd love to hear it!

Interesting challenge, but my problem is that I don't especially see why certain people deserve banning, so... if I were to make up a list of people comparable to The Nine, it would be a... long list of people whose posts I felt generally didn't contribute much. I didn't understand what was wrong with Tinzee or Kario or a lot of the other people, though... maybe just for lack of my seeing their definatively stupid moments, or something.

Only thing that's really obvious at the moment is that Eyebarb is posting a bunch of worthless crap. His stupidity, I understood.
