Heh, a bit like me except not only with Super Mario World  Back in September 1999, I started Strange Mario Bros and concentrated long enough on it to get it complete ... around the time I finished it (November 1999), I started my FF1 hack (Mario Fantasy Adventure) and it was doing good progress for a while, but then one day (December 1999) I decided to mess around with Mario Improvement 3 and started Strange Mario Bros 3, which quickly took over my time and later got the FF1 hack abandoned (although I had just gotten into music hacking) ... That lasted a few months, Strange Mario Bros 3 got up to World 5 and was fun, but in March 2000, I started working on the SMB2 Level Discombobulator, for which Strange Mario Bros 3 was interrupted and finally abandoned too I later worked on Strange Mario Bros 2, which went well until July (World 3) as other things (not ROM hacking this time) took over ... then in September, Lunar Magic 1.00 came out and I worked a bit on Strange Mario World, got World 1 done in December and stopped there as I got into yet another new project, AcmlmBoard, which later got me addicted too much to do any ROM hacking I've made a few brief returns in 2001-2002 (SMB3 Level Discombobulator, still incomplete, and a few new levels), but it never lasted ... It's been years now, I miss the old days of ROM hacking when my site was updated Besides, if I ever went back to work on Strange Mario World (which is still on my site), I'd have to figure out all the new features that were added between Lunar Magic 1.10 (the last version I got familiar with) and 1.62  (edited by Acmlm on 05-07-04 08:26 PM) |
