Meh, the article didn't specify any specific game, as well, the shootings (after conducting some more research) did occur in 1997. However, the games could also improve reaction time, as well as, aim, depending on which one he played.

In the article, it described the killer's conditioned responses: "He walked in, planted his feet, posted the gun in a two-stance, and opening fire." I would pretty much relate this kind of attitude to games such as Area 51 and the like.

Or Revolution X.

The thing is, the kids involved in the Columbine shootings actually recorded a video before the whole thing went down. Basically they compared the shootings to acting out Doom in real life.

They weren't corrupted by the game - they had deeper psychological problems.

Which was pretty much why I brought in a different shooting example, to show that there might be other reasons for shootings (As well as to make a few points along the way.)

I say blame it on the parents. They're the ones with the money who continue to buy this stuff for their kids. It's also the parents fault for not disciplining or catching signs of weirdness in their screwed up kids. The media or games don't buy themselves. If they really don't want the younger crowd to purchase M rated games, they should enforce it. Not blame it on the games.

I don't know what all this bullshit about Doom and Quake being violence inducing games... Hell! all you can see is your gun, you only move your head side to side, and you shoot demons and run over special glowing powerups. Yeah, real realistic. Hey! A pink icon with a skull in it! *runs into pink dealy* Hey! A shotgun with unlimited ammo... what's that voice in head? Kill 25 gang members in 2 minutes? OK! *kills* Sure. Unless you are taking some industrial strength LSD, that won't happen.

Are you saying that there aren't messed up people in the world? It has happened before, yeah?

Your post.
Why would I respond saying I'm not making sense? Unlike what you just displayed, I like to have a hint of substance in what I'm saying.

If you didn't understand what I said, I basically meant that what you said won't happen HAS happened. It's not that farfetched.

To me, if anything, violent video games help kids RELEASE the frustration that drive them towards delinquence. Who are the kids who cause the most trouble? Is it those who spend their time at home playing video games, or those that beat up other kids, steal stuff from stores and are always outside doing random acts of criminal stupidity?

Exactly.
Whenever I'm pissed, I like to boot up Halo, and just utterly beat the hell out of anything that moves.
I could beat up my brother, or some random neighbor, but I let it out harmlessly on some alien that does not exist.

Haven't school shootings been caused by people (who blame it on videogames) that were picked on? They can't make any friends and shit, so they go to videogames for release or something.
I remember in middle school I had trouble making friends the first month of school or something, so I'd spend time by myself reading, and this cop would follow me around talking to me and shit. I know she did that because she thought I was depressed or something. omg.

Ashley: Not exactly... Some of them were social outcasts, yes, but there was a LOT more wrong with them than just being anti-social. Their mindsets weren't exactly kosher to begin with.

One of the first video games I plaid was Wolfenstien 3D. I was about 3.
I have also played Doom, GTA3, and other games. NEVER got violent due to ANY of that.

If I ever would have the urge to beat the crap out of someone was by the person provoking me. Plus, I would only kill out of self defence.

If they should blame somthing, they should blame the person who came up with "people are allowed to own weapons". If that was illegal (to own a gun), and/or there was better gun control, they wouldn't need a scapegoat.
