party - $25 x1 = $25
------------------------------
total = $425.00

so yeah, not many places i can cut back on costs. And I'm not saying that I'm poor and need pitty, it's just a lot of money that's all. I have enough to pay for it, got me a job for a while, but it sucks having to part with so much. But it's worth it, it's a lot of fun and my girl really wants to go so I gotta do it, but I'd do it just for fun even if I wasn't going with my girl.

Finally! Someone who doesn't look down on proms!

I still wish you came with us, Silvershield. It was just too much fun! We danced, we partied, and had fun. And to top it all off, there was no illicit behavior that you would disapprove of.

Plus, the ladies looked great. Especially mine.

Shucks, if I had the money (remember, that night was my first at my new job ) to go, as well as (most importantly) a date, I would've loved to. But you know me: not only did I not have the guts to ask anyone, but it's been several weeks since I've even seen the one person whom I really wanted to go with. Maybe next year .

For the record, some people didn't even go with a date, and they still had an awesome time. Plus, they probably saved a heap of cash anyway.

As for not having the guts, think about this: What do you really have to lose? Even if she does say no, at least you know you tried, and you don't torture yourself over what could have been. Sometimes it pays to rold the dice every once in a while.

Believe me, I know it's tough, but sometimes it really does pay off in spades.

Kefka: I had a wedding to attend in the summer along with grad night in June.

So it was killing two birds with one stone.

I can tell you that that is the damn truth. Girls are intimidating creatures to us simple minded men, and they send bizare signals that we struggle to comprehend, but it really does pay off to know the answer, even if it's no. I was really into this chick last year and it took me like 4 months to finally ask her out. It didn't work out but i felt really good for having the cajon

Well, you don't seem that poor, since it seems you have a computer and access to the internet. I had to work to get money for my prom. My dad bought the dress for me and that was it. I had to raise the money for eveything else on my own. Which really didn't bother me anyway, since I knew dad couldn't afford it anyway.

The thing with proms, you know way in advance that it's going to happen. Now depending on if you go or not, you can still start saving money, heck, at the start of your freshman year, if you really wanted to. And if you end up not going when the times comes, at least you have money saved up for something.

"I'm Poor" = expression to say that I'm going to be spending a lot of money. And yes, I am paying for this, that's why I've reffed basketball for four years and have tutored kids at my school. I've saved up money for a helluva long time and now it's going to this. And about having an internet and computer, that doesn't prove that you're not poor. For all you know, I could be at the library using one of their computers, cause I've done that before. Having certain things does not prove your wealth or lack thereof.
