And really, as I said before, all this bitching about idiocy is silly as well. Idiots / lazy people have always existed, they will always exist in the future. They are not contributing to society's decline. It's all about economics, see, and the fact is that most people simply have no use for the kind of human capital that whatever virtue training you would give them. If you don't like stupid people, fine. Don't hang out with them. But don't act like their existence or prevelence or whatever is actually some kind of social threat... because either you're mispercieving the problem (it's no worse now than it was a century ago), or you're just being utopian ("gee, wouldn't it be great if no one were stupid?")

I mean, for all the bitching about stupid people, I have yet to see any evidence that there's actually some kind of new problem which would be reasonable to solve through... some kind of social changes? Is there no belief in social equilibrium here?

I'm going to completely agree about people who try to be all "ghetto" o whatever they call it.. I live in a 99% white, upper middle class town in Massachusetts, and today someone came in talking about how "hiz life iz hard in da projectz, yo"... If "the projects" means a large white house on a tree lined street in the richest part of town, I guess he's right

And now I'm going to agree with the gact that all this "political correctness" is stupid.. No one can take anything anymore... One teacher at my school got fired for calling someone "stupid"... (I dont exactly know the details though)

Is there actually a correct grammatical way to deal with instances where you're equating a plural to a singular? "Their name is Kwan" may be incorrect, but "Their names are Kwan" sounds pretty much equally weird.
