That you either bought or aquired otherwise (via birthday or x-mas, and no, burned CDs don't count! )?

Well, despite my interests in music, I've substantially cut down on CD purchases recently, although I do fancy the new Fear Factory album Archetype. I love Christian's Guitar sound better than Dino's. Christain's has less low end (compared to Dino) and is so much easier to hear and makes Fear Factory seem like they have definitely progressed into the future. His guitar has got good low end, low mids, and heavy upper-mid attacks goin on paired with tons of treble. Dino had that "scooped" sound with very little, if any, midrange, paired with tons of low end and tons of treble. It has it's share of mellow tracks, but still produces that same "tear" sound that we've heard from them for some time now.

Recent purchases/aquisitions:
-A Perfect Circle-Thirteenth Step
-Incubus-Crow Left of the Murder
-The Punisher Soundtrack

Wishlist:
-Fear Factory-Archetype

I haven't listened to any of my FF CDs in a long time, but I've always loved these guys and their original "Industrial-Metal" type sound. It's great to have them back, although I haven't really been having very high expectations of them after hearing that they have returned, just without Dino along the ranks... up until now. =P

Watashi Wa - (Self Titled)

Excellent Christian rock band that anyone can like. Seriously, I normally abhor Christian rock, but this band is pretty damn good.

The last thing I would have purchased would have been the Clash's London Calling, and the Klezmatics' Rise Up! - Shteyt Oyf!

Currently I feel that I need stuff by Microphones, and Les Savy Fav's new album.

I also have decided I want some classical music, but some complete pieces, not just those little compilations with chunks of different ones that just cut out and jump all over the place.
Some composers I have in mind: Mussorgsky, Shostakovich, Mozart, Mahler, Saint Seans, Wagner, Strauss, Grieg, Vivaldi or Chopin. Depends what I find.

My most recent purchase was Prick's self-titled (for 4 dolla). It's the greatest thing I've heard in a long while (probably since I got Chemlab's East Side Militia). Think David Bowie glam rock fused with the synth and guitar sounds and structures of NIN's Broken. Killer stuff.

the last cds i bought were thrice: The artist in the ambulance(great cd, if you dont have it, and like avenged sevenfold, or break the scilence, you'll love thrice)
and Senses fail(good, its an ep, so i was a little dissapointed)

i want:
drowining pool: sinner, and the new one
Atreyu: the curse(it gonna be fucking amazing! Amazing i tell you!)
Poison the well:you come before you(best.cd.ever.)
avenged sevenfold:waking the fallen

I already own a burned copy of waking the fallen, but i felt bad, so im going to buy a copy or two to help support them...

The last CD I bought was Fired Up!, a CD with 16 dance tracks from the 90's and 00's that was advertised on TV by Razor and Tie.

The next two I plan to get are The Buzz, a CD of alternative rock from the 90's that was also advertised on TV by Razor and Tie, and Kylie Minogue's "Body Language". I have her "Fever" album.

In 5 days, the latest The Streets CD comes out, and sometime, god willing, the latest Beastie Boys, To The 5 Burrows comes out.

I think the last CD I got was the Anniversary's "Designing a Nervous Breakdown". Very Rentals-ish, with the Moog and the boy/girl vocals... then they went all psychedelic, got into some drama with their label, and broke up.

I picked up Mitch Hedberg's Mitch All Together a couple of days ago. I downloaded all of the tracks, felt I should go out and buy it to support Mitch, because he's fucking awesome. I might order Strategic Grill Locations online sometime soon, too. Man, Mitch Hedberg rocks.
