What is the most overused online alias?

I don't know about you all but i can remember when Hackers the movie came out
there was all these people on the net who suddenly started calling themselves
acidburn and zerocool and all them other names from the movie...
pissed me right off it did....

Anything that starts or ends with fire, angel, shadow, dark, or darkness. Especially if the total name doesn't make any sense.

Also, names that are purposely oxymoronic, like "holy evil" or "spontainious plan" or what-have-you. If they run together, that's a bit worse.

Numbers at the end are a little annoying in any place where your name is important. It's not that bad on, say, Starcraft or Hotmail, but on a message board it can be bloody frustrating.

So obviously names like darkangel11 or darkfire356745 are way low.

ANYTHING THAT IS TAKEN FROM VARIOUS VIDEO GAMES, SHOWS, AND MOVIES! It starts with one person to be that name (Sephiroth, for example) then others keep adding numbers at the beginning and end of the same thing (Sephiroth1, Sephiroth39, etc.). I get so confused who is who and I think that it is the same person. That is REALLY annoying!

I believe Sephiroth is the most overused name. My reasons?

  • "Badass"-type.
  • Bishounen/Pretty Boy-type
  • Final Fantasy/Mainstream Character-type.
  • "Mature" Character-type.

    I think I might've covered them all..

    And as a side note, I've only seen lots of Kirby names in Kirby related boards. And even then, there's not as much Kirby names as I would expect.

    I've had this name for most of my internet life.. Probably like.. six years or more.. I remember I flipped out when I saw people waltzing around with "Kirby" in their name.. I thought they were trying to steal my originality

    From what I see, the most used alias is Draco. I have seen people use it on yahoo, AIM, message boards, pokemon, Final Fantasy, lots of stuff. It isnt that cool a name.

    I've seen Draco a lot as well. Especially when I used to play Pokemon. My brother and a friend had a Charizard and a Dragonite respectfully named Draco. The only Dragon type Pokemon I ever had was a Kingdra, but I named it Coirnav (EQ players may get the reference).

    Intresting enough, I came up with the name myself. Almost. I get inspiration from a site which added freak in the end of all the names.

    Heh, I'm not the only Gandalf in the forums, but as long I know some of other forums with my "clones" as well, I know they're no lamers at all
    I dislike any versions of way too popular names. I think it might be okay, if someone is the first one in a forum and takes a name like "Locke" or "Terra".
    They're original ones as long they are also adored of that game and didn't take it just for fun.
    I'm fond of the magician in LotR, but more of RnH (lik in my sig), but since I'm using a magic character avatar anyway, it just fits perfectly with me, keeping my name either for the saga and tha rest from that japanese RPG
    But my AIM screen name is ... ... nah, I know it sounds dumb, but I own it a very long time, "Gomorrha" was taken, so I simply added 21 after it, what was my age then

    I know a SSJ in a forum who is not dumb at all but a very mature person; this might be only one rare exception in the web
