A very nice hack. Unfortunately, it's bugging up on me.

The first thing I did that seemed a bit off was getting to Sahashrela before finding wherever I was supposed to go at the start. Shortly after that, I managed to get into a dungeon and find my way to a room where I was locked up with the desert boss (Moldorms, was it?) with no weapon to defend myself with. I quit that and kept wandering, eventually finding myself at a dungeon that I can only assume was the one I was supposed to find at the start. After getting Zelda, I started backtracking my way out. I've checked everywhere I can get to, and all that's left is a single door that's blocked by spikes. Weaseling through that, the game bugs up and I end up underneath the room for Gannon's battle.

Any help?

Euclid, what is your vision for the final version of this hack? what you have now is being called a 'demo', so obviously you have bigger plans for it. Where are you going? How many dungeons? Dark world? Other stuff?

Read the readme that comes with it. Hes already done all the editing for dark and light world. Basically all that remains is the dungeon/caves, and debugging.

Squash Monster - i thought that people won't go in there in the beginning when they saw the sand crab shooting near the first door.

Yes i know Sahrasla shouldn't be there (and he won't be in later versions)

And as for that bug after you find Zelda...hmm... i don't remember putting a lot of spikes on the way out... you just have to push blocks to get to the top level, push the big thing with zelda on the left (like you usually do) and go from there, then you should end up in the sanctuary (or church in my case).

lukeprog - my plans for it are: rearrange all the dungeons (yes, i said it, all) and all the overworld (and i just found out that i forgot to change Zora's domain and the screen in front of it ), a totally new game (with some parts recognisable from the original)

I've also planned for other stuff, like using it as a minor asm exercise to put, no i should say, extend a bit of the asm code to do little funny things in the hack which nobody will probably notice a lot (eg/ say king Zora gives you flippers and 100 rupies to "advertise" it for him as a job, the asm for that part has already been found, and it's just a matter of playing around with those instructions oh no i just gave away my idea ).

as for customized graphics... i'll come to that... maybe.. maybe not (i suck at drawing...)

ok this is a great thing Euclid as ive no doubt sad multiple times. However Im not allowing myself to play it fully or any further due to how complete it already seems to be. Knowing that the finished hack is only a few months (i hope) away ill prefer to play it entirely than only half of it.

Yes, I figured I was supposed to be turned off of that area, but it wasn't all that hard. You could put a door that stays closed untill some enemy is killed somewhere early in the mountain dungeons, but I kinda like it being possible to do two ways, and if you did change that you'd have to tell me how to get to the castle the right way; I still never found the proper castle entering path.

As for the area you described, I haven't been able to get that far out of the dungeon. The door I'm looking at here bugs up:

I found the "guardhouse". Now, where do I get the sword from? I was in the first area (the old first castle) with 1 key, a bottle, a lamp, and about 200 rupies. I kinda got tired of looking for the sword after I went everywhere and anywhere the game would let me. Oh, and the major problem about not having the sword is, I have to continue from the very beginning until I find it because the game doesn't save (I use save states though).

Like the misty mountains and the overworld looks nice. I liked how you enter the woods area, figured it might pixelize but you went straight up into it.

*feels this the most n00bie looking post CP has ever made *

The basic reason for that is that one of the doors in the first dungeon stuffs up...hmm.. i'll try to fix it when i get home.

It's ok, you see i traveled through the errored rooms unti I somehow reached the room with the ornamental shelf, and the game got restored except for the music, so really all i skipped was the block maze. i'm continuing through the hack, peace.

then you must've saw a few of the rooms i made already...

anyway, i've made a new patch.

this one fixes:
- that Sahasrasla problem.
- that "run into gannon room" problem.
- also that other problem i quoted myself
- also removed the key to the second dungeon so you can't go downstairs in the beginning (you have to kill for the key)

That about wraps everything up so far
