When you were younger, did your parents care if you watched rated R movies? Some parents don't let their kids watch those types of movies but some just don't care (Like mine). What was the first one you remember watching? Which one is your absolute favorite?

Heh my friend has barely watched any horror movies. I'll introduce her to that subject . I've watched them for awhile and I was always able to watch "R" movies. My parents don't pay attention to the types of movies I watch. Even when I was younger. I'd end up watching whatever movie they were watching .

Actually, now it's quite the opposite. I was allowed to watch certain R movies (Terminator and T2), but now, my parents don't want me to watch them. With good reason. Some of those are nasty bad.

On a different note:

My parents were pretty strict when I was little. Now, all of the sudden when they lift the rules, I have so much to catch up on, the guy at Blockbuster almost knows me by name...

My parents weren't too keen on letting me watch R rated movies when I was younger...in fact, I think they still aren't too big on letting me see them (even though I'm 17), the Matrix trilogy excepted.

I didn't watch any R rated movies when i was little because my parents would not alow it and i was too young. Though i have watched recently Fight Club which is rated R, and its really cool, not like a horror movie

I have the exact same situation with the people at my school library. Once, I was looking at dvds while a prospective employee was being shown around, and the librarian made me part of the tour. "We have our regulars, like Steven here."

Yes. My mom was a real prick about it. Luckily I never cared about movies. Not then, not now.. well, almost.
I get scared easy over everything, so it's a good thing. I did see those god damn chucky movies. bah.

My parents trust my judgment enough, though my mother is a bit hesitant to expose me to R movies that are rated such because of sexual content. I'm a 16-year-old boy, for God's sake - just considering my friends alone, I'm exposed to more sexual crudeness than she can imagine .

My parents were pretty strict, not that I didn't find ways to watch the movies anyways though In Sweden the movies are rated by age: Anyone, 7, 11, 15. And I couldn't watch movies rated 15 untill I was 15.

The ratings are different here. Terminator stuff is only M15+, but everyone watches it anyway. Most people here don't give a shit what their kids watch. I watched MA15+ stuff from when I was little. R stuff, there isn't much of. Basically only pornos are R18+ here. Everything else is MA, like I think House of 1000 Corpses is MA, possibly R (i have it on burnt DVD).

Btw, the ratings here are:

G-general exhibition
PG-parental guidance reccommended
M-recommended for mature audiences
M15+-reccomended for persons over 15 years of age
MA-mature audiences only
R18+-18 years and up

apparently thers like, X rated ones (no, not XXX, but X ) but I dunno.

My parents wouldn't let me see ALL "R" rated stuff when I was younger. They were pretty restrictive over the content, yet there was a (fairly) good bit of "R" stuff that they let me watch. I could give a more-than-natural list of "R" movies I could watch back in the day as opposed to not being able to see them in general.

Now, however, I'm supposedly allowed to. Note supposedly. And I'm 16 BTW.

I've been watching rated 'R' movies since I was like 11 because my parents didn't view me as a suicidal/homicidal maniac.

I don't go out to the movies much...so I can't really answer this question. But chances are, even if i did, they wouldn't want me watching them...I know they do not want my brother watching them based on certain events that has happened. But in short, my parent's wouldn't let me.

Anyways, the first R movie I saw...I don't remember

My parents didn't care much. But then I wasn't intrested in thoose movies until I was 13-14 year old. My parents hadn't cared about age restrictions or anything.

They don't even react if the movie contains "risky" content. Such as boobies.

Z- You should see both of those, they're good. When you sober up, of course.
