Well I can reach the school network. But you have to use something called Citrix. Which works actually quite nice.

And I have been succeful downloading some programs from school when I am home.

DAMN IT!!!!!!!! I wanted to use that quote, Kyle. I also remember Ellen DeGeneres saying that.

Anyways, there have been a lot of times that I have procrastinated while doing a major assignment. It is not that I am lazy, it is just that I can't easily do just one thing for a long period of time. Therefore, I get bored very easily from it. I try not to but it has always been a problem of mine.

I never do things at the last minute if I can help it. Usually I do things in two shifts... One right after the assignment has been given, the other right before it's handed in.

When your group for group work is made up of guys (and this is an honest obsevation), things do tend to get done at the last minute.
And the person who's got the last piece of work to do is royally screwed if the others can't be arsed to get things done until the very last day.

So please, by all means do things in your own time for individual work, but organise yourself if you're working as a team. You'll be royally pissed off when it's you that has to clean up.

I wonder if guys really do procrastinate more that girls. It'd be something worth checking out.

Procrastination is my greatest gift. Do they have college degrees for procrastination. lol.

Guys do, trust me. The guys at my school all slack off, and do their work during class right before its collected. *waves hand* yo.

Heh. I actually do see girls handing in their assignments before the due date, so I guess you're right.

At university, everyone hands in assignments on the same day unless they have a valid reason to hand it in early.

Basically, unless there's a bonus attached to an early submission, people around here simply finish their assignments for the due date. Whether they work on it last minute or not.

Heh. I guess in a university, you should want all the time you can get your hands on to get the assignment done, eh?

Depends on the assignment.

This term I had a lot of little assignments to do - nothing huge. But still, not everyone in a class is in the same boat - some people have plenty of time to do the assignment, and others are swamped with work or have too much on their plate.

Well I'm a guy... the difference I suppose is that I'm sort of compulsive. If I'm going to turn in work early, say Japanese like I had last year, I usually turn in like 4 weeks worth of assignments in advance (god bless syllabi). I like getting things out of the way, but turning in one pissant little assignment early doesn't mean crap to me.

Yeah, it would make more sense to just get it out of the way and have time to do other stuff. It just ain't in my nature to do that though.

I try to get things down before the due date, but other things distract me. Then I keep putting it off, and end up doing it on the night before the due date.

Lets see.. we got this task in Norwegian in February (!), and it's gonna be handed in this Monday.. and guess what? I haven't even started.. damn, does it suck to be out of ideas.

I guess it's brainstorming time...

So, yeah, I do procrastinate quite a bit.. but this is the most extreme case so far this year.. Last year I procrastinated so much that there were at least a couple of tasks I didn't even start..

The worst possible thing to happen to a person during an assignment of any kind of class is a lack of creativity. That will get you in a lot of trouble.

I have a scrapbook due for my American Studies class tomorrow. We're supposed to have 10 articles done about events between 1959 and 2004, with pictures, and I only have 6 done, all without pictures. I plan on doing the images tomorrow before I head off to school, so that leaves me to do 4 articles today.

Our teachers run their mouths all class and then give us all the work for home. And as a very stupid way of protesting against it, I don't do it. Or maybe it's just a sign of laziness. Who knows?
