Heh, yep, that got a laugh outta me .

Anyhow, I procrastinate like no other. I can't count the number of occasions that I've been given a long-term assignment and, that day, I vow to space out the work and finish it over a reasonable period. It never works, ever. On really enormous projects, like the 12 to 15 page paper of a few months ago, I start it maybe three days before it's due, staying up deep into each night to whittle away at it. For smaller things, they're always the last night. Not even the last day (meaning, I don't start them immediately upon arriving home from school). I can expect the typical twoish page paper to be written between the hours of eleven o'clock and three in the morning.

In many cases, I just put it off until the next day of school. We have a worthless "homeroom" period, usually adequate to write up a passable essay. If not, the subsequent lunch period can be used as well.

You see, when I've been keeping an eye on my assignment notebook throughout the school day and I realize that I have a lot of assignments piling up, I simply cross off those that are less than necessary, can be faked, or are for a particularly lenient teacher. What's left, I pound away at 'til it's done.

It's an artform, my friends. We all know this .

I am good on procrastination, many many times I either do stuff before the deadline. Or after...

I have been doing that for years, sure I survived with it. But it's annoying...

Usually it's the "just little more" feeling that makes me procrastinate, I do something else and then forget about the more important stuff.

I have a research paper due Friday, and I haven't written any of it yet.

Once in fifth grade, I had to do a book report, but didn't even read most of the book until the day before the report was due...I was working from the time I got home from school that day to the time I went to bed.

Heh, just this morning, I was doing a chem lab and essay at 6 am before I went to bed. They were both due today.

Also, my senior quote was: "Procrastination and apathy are the vitues by which all"

Well, I missed lunch, lost 30 minutes of sleep, and used my study hall to get this paper that I had to finish for Economics done today. Unfortunately, one of my partners forgot his fricking disk with the paper on it, but luckily he doesn't have class 10th, so hopefully the grade for this will be decent.

Though you know what sucks about procrastination and computers? If you happen to be typing this paper out, and the fact that you don't save at all... WHAM! Error or a freak restart comes by and kills about half your paper. It's happened to me twice and I can't find the words that I would be screaming out at my computer at that time. Has anybody have that happened to them while they had to type out that damn paper?

Me? Straight outta Procrastination Nation Station etc.

I have homework that needs to be done now, (And a lot too) but that can wait.

You know, 3 1/2 years ago, I made a resolution that I'd do my homework before 9 P.M. To this day, I have not done that. Even once.

And I also save after nearly every sentence when doing stuff on PCs. Not just schoolwork. I'm just paranoid

Not me, I save to often. Heck I save like after every sentance I type. It's just an habit I earned from years of computer use.

But however I have seen severeal times of data corruption, like my sister. She did the stupidity of saving the Word document on a Floppy. Needless to say the file acted like it was corrupt.

However I succedd saving it by using Chkdsk on the Floppy. And then I did move it over to the HD.

People do not save the orginal on a floppy. They aren't reliable.

Errr, how is saving on a floppy disk considered stupid? Data is pretty hard to transport if it's in your hard drive... I just saved my word document on a floppy yesterday and today, things worked fine. You must have some messed up disks then.

I did mean that saving the orginal document on a floppy is risky, and that you should save it somewhere else first.

And the fact that I have seen to many people who bring their work to school on a floppy, and then the damn floppy is damaged. (that's why I use the internet for transfering thngs betweeen computers, I just send the stuff over e-mail)

The format floppy is dying, I see newer computers without now. More and more peopel seem to use USB memories instead too... I have one somewhere.

I don't like using floppies because they store so little, but my school doesn't allow anything else to be used...we can save to the network, but those files can't be used at home.

This is me all of the time. I don't have anything to give an example for right now, but I probably will real soon....
