It's something that plagues a lot of us it seems. At least, I know that I'm one of those people. You know what I'm talking about, when you wait until the last few minutes to do sometimes. Usually, it's done with school work, and I'm doing it right now in a way. Still, it has gotten me in trouble more than once, like I ended up taking a 0 out of a 100 on an essay one time, and got me a couple other shortcomings that I'm not proud of. Still, it's really hard to get over. No matter how much I say it to myself, it happens.

Oh well, I'm pretty sure quite a few of you have some of those stories to tell, whether it be involved procrastination or beating the crap outta it. I'll more than likely share mine about this mobile project and some others soon.

8th grade was the worst. My story was similar to yours in that I had to take a 0 out of 100 on a Latin test. But most of the time, I did my papers for English last year 15 minutes before school started... and English was pd. 1 so... 15 minutes in total

Usually I got A's though...

Well, as I sit here, the time being 9:19, I have a 2 1/2 page paper on Charles Darwin due tommorow. Guess how much I have. One paragraph. And yet, I'm still gonna sit here and post until my eyes bleed.

Hmmm, you're sounding a little like me right now at this point. I have a little bit more down right now, but... I don't know how these next paragraphs are going to go. The info's just so... confusing. Damn market regulation! Why must it be a pain?

This really hasn't happened to me, i always try and do my school work early. Probably once in year 7, i forgot that i had a paper to do and turned up to school and the teacher forgot to get the papers off everyone, so i did it that night

I'm the same exact way.

My computer is in my room, and I type things / look up / do all my HW here.
Also...I have the ability to come and post.

I have gotten better though...sort of.

Man, procrastination is the esence of senioritis. That's what i ahve and i have it bad. I ahven't done three weeks worth of calc hw, i skiped about 8 assignments in french, i haven't studied for anyhting the whole year, and I did my toothpick bridge the day before it was due. Oh yeah, i just started my 7 page term paper requiring 7 non internet sources today, and guess when it's due, tomorow. It's a wonderful and magical thing, surviving with procrastination. I still got a 4.0 so all is good. But I've procrastinated too much now, I got to get to the store and buy some flowers for a date that I've been putting off for a week. Wow, i procrastinate with everything, even getting out of this post.

I've got the whole paper planned out in my head, but there's this loud voice telling me to keep posting at ACMLM. I can barely hear the little voice going "write the paper", so I listen to the loudest.

Last-minute almost all the time for me.

Although I usually do well on the stuff... I just finished a take-home essay and put together two 700-word essays - 700 was the MAXIMUM possible length. Quality > quantity.

I'd come up with a good retort for that...but I won't.

It's pretty much common nature to meet the path of least resistance...I mean why do something if you don't have to and such and such. Can't say I don't suffer from it myself.

Strangely, you and I are kind of in the same boat, with the essay that is... I hope that we both are able to find the rowing paddles soon and get a move on. Oh yeah, if you work with a word program, save often! I just had half my work erased about an hour ago and I'm still a little steamed by that...

Cthulhu, sorry to say, but you're sure posting just a tad too much in here...

Ah, just got done with my 6 page, term paper, with 10 sources of good skimmed research and made up bullshit that sounds real. Oh yeah, and a lot of ass kissing in the paper going hard on the conservatives and getting high on liberals cause my teach is a lib to the max. Don't you love writing papers on the deteriorating relation between the United States and the United Nations as well as the changing relations between the US and its former allies throughout the world over the periods of the Clinton and Bush administrations ending up with a section on the ramifications of the desicions of the two presidents. Ah, i hate politics, why can't this be an economics paper on the effects of deregulation of the enregy industry and the need for alternative fuels and nuclear power, i could go on forever with that, but no, this has ot be on cman and bman.

I know it's not kosher, but as a procrastinator myself, I found out a while ago that taking "academic" drugs like Adderall (or any other drugs normally prescribed for ADD, etc.) and such really makes it easier to concentrate and just get your work done. Ethical debate aside, I give drugs a huge thumbs-up.
