If you've previously explored the unfinished parts of the demo, you found that most locations were empty or not functioning at all. However, a lot of event data was left elsewhere on the cart and has been discovered - roughly the complete game up to the Tyrano Lair! These Pro Action Replay codes correct the event pointer table to enable all of the available 'lost' events. This was no easy task, there is nearly 700(!) events in total. After sorting through the many duplicate, empty and corrupt events, the remaining good ones then had to be matched to the correct one of the several hundred possible rooms. Special thanks to Geiger and Chickenlump from the Temporal Flux team, and FuSoYa, author of the Lunar Compress utility. ----- The new findings of unused and beta content include: 65,000,000 B.C. This is a promotional non-animated scene that was featured on one of the pre-order prism trading cards and in magazine screenshots. 12,000 B.C. Algetty has a much different layout, and the Beast's Nest pathway is two screens. 600 A.D. In the cutscene with Cyrus and Glenn battling monsters in Guardia Forest, the unused Battle 2 song plays. The second section of Magus Castle features different enemies not in the final version of the game. 1000 A.D. Heckran cave has a major layout change, and battles with Octroriders! 2300 A.D. The Sewer Access B2 level event is very different. In the final version, you were supposed to be careful not to make any noise on the narrow walkway. In this version, you talk to one of the Underling frogs and then must race to the end of the pathway as 4 flames chase you. If the flames catch you, you are sent to a new B3 level where you must win a battle to escape. The Epoch scene in the Keeper's Dome is an earlier version. End of Time Spekkio has more forms than the final version. Misc. Events A programmer's test room. Push 3 NPCs and you are warped back to Crono's house with that party configuration. Sorry for the long list in PAR format, it was the easiest for putting these together and testing. It originally was only a few location crash fixes, but then grew quite a bit. I do plan to release this with a few more enhancements as an .IPS in the near future. |
