| I got a kitten!!! His name is Checkers, and he is a tiger cat.... I got him last night, and he got lost an hour after we brought him home. We adventually found him at the bottom of the stairs, but now he is lost again and I can't find him anywhere.... The thing I am really scarred of, is that we have no toilet cover for the water pump thingy at the top, and he get in and drown, and whats worse is that the door is like, 4 inches from the ground, so if he squeezed he could get in.... Help me find my new kitten! |

| Close doors around the house/etc. if you don't want him going everywhere. He's obviously curious right now and wants to check everything out, so just keep a close eye on him. And close the bathroom door if you're worried about that. :\ |

| Sorry if the tone of this is more serious than YAY KITTY, but I'm an anal-retentive cat person and I can't help but worry about everyone else's aminals, so I have to butt in. Glad to hear about your new kitty...but please, please, please cat-proof the house. Checkers should NEVER have access to something that can kill him. If Checkers is young (like, say, 12 weeks or less), it is really best to keep him in his own room with a litterbox, food, and water until he gets older. This way, you'll always know where he is, and he will be unlikely to have accidents. Young kittens oftentimes can't hold it too well, so they might realize they have to go and be too far away to make it back to the litterbox in time. I could go on for about umpty bazillion years about cat care, but my advice can be summed up pretty succinctly. Make sure Checkers sees the vet when he's supposed to. Get him neutered. Get him toys and scratching posts. Give him the best food you can afford. And above all, give him lots of attention and love. For more specific advice, please read through the about.com Cats site. | My cat has a brain the size of a molecule, or smaller. I don't even think she knows what goes on around her If she got lost, I think therw would definitely be a problem, since she hates the outdoors, and all she ever does is sleep, eat, and occasionally hit a toy mouse around which she gets bored of in 20 seconds. | My kittens love to wrestle all the time. It's so funny to watch them do that. Other than that and running around the house, the eat and sleep. Also, one of my kittens love running to the door of my room and hitting it head first causing the door to open. |
