| After it took me so long to get off my ass on this, I present to you the actual voting for the Semi-Annual SMW Hacking Awards. Unfortunately, only a few people sent me PM's nominating people, so the choices are a little limited. I've listed below the categories where there are two or more possible winners. Categories with no nomination or one nomination only have not been listed. | @Stifu: People are only "stealing" the GFX from other games to make their hacks looking better and having them a better game play, so other people will like the hacks. Seeing that nearly every good hack has ripped GFX in it, I doubt that they will take them out because you don't like it. SMW hacks needs to have ExGFX nowadays or you won't have any chance to make a good hack. Some people even draw their GFX, which is really cool but you can't expect all SMW hackers to draw GFX for their hacks because not all people can. Get it my point? peter_ac: What makes you think what I said was related to anything you said ?  Actually, reading back, I hadn't even noticed you were the one who asked that question before, so I was just posting what I thought of ripping awards, that's all. That wasn't an attack toward you or something you said. Ice Man: You didn't get my point. I'm not saying you shouldn't use graphics of other games in your hacks or anything like that... I'm only saying I don't think it should be "praised", or deserve awards... That's all. That said, I don't expect my opinion to change anything about the way you guys do your award things. |

| Best GFX - ripped is for a game, best ripper is for a person. @stifu: the reason I added that is that some people can rip better than others, and they deserve the recognization for that. @peter_ac, thanks, now I can award the hacks, since that's a hack category. |

I don't think ripping requires much skill at all... Those who can't rip properly should have a "I fucking suck at ripping gfx" award, not the other way around.  |
