That NSF proves it's impossible for Zelda 2 to have bad music.

Hahaha. Funniest SMB hack yet. Nice job. It's impressive for a small hack. Someone could make a full hack based on this. I think I'm going to use something similar to this for old SMB hack to spice it up. I can't wait to see what else you got up your sleeve(s).

Hacking the music is turning out to be quite fun. I'm trying to get every track to sound as incredibly fucked up as the effected tracks do.

It's tedious and very careful work but I am meeting it with some level of success. This crazy music coupled with the crazy level design and *cough* new graphics will make for one hell of a ride.

EDIT: The almost complete acid soundtrack. I'm going to stick this in the game and hope it doesn't break the nes.

EDIT 2: Well this sucks... Predictably that broken music renders the game totally unplayable. What a shame!

That music causes physical pain. I think it can kill small children if you're not careful.

*starts having a seziure*

Actually yes, contact me with your social security number and I will forward the relevant information to my attourney.

Jesus Christ, this thing literally makes my stomach churn after a few minutes. You sir, have truly outdone yourself. I'm so impressed by this, in fact, I think I'm going to cancel Dragoon X Omega II; it can never live up to the grandeur of SMB Acid Hack...

Seriously, how many hacks can actually physically impact the player? This is some kind of ROM hacking precedent you've set.

Agreed. He's so awesome he doesn't even have to tell us what game it's for!

yah, I was so excited to post the hack I forgot to include the game name. Although I *did* make a post saying.. a few posts up somewhere

I'm actually thinking about looking at where you changed. I'll assume that you changed the coin shine code, since the coins and question blocks don't shine anymore. You can also make it more messed up by changing the mirroring to Horizontal (Horizontal mirroring makes stuff in SMB look really messed up, trust me ).

yessir! absolutely correct. It was actually a fairly large chunk of code, I might add. The code that I replaced it with was extremely small and simple. hehe, I trust you're statement as being correct.

I'm sure it's okay. Besides, we already have a great "freak the user the fuck out" factor in starting this on the already existing Acid Mario hack. Audio wouldn't hurt, but I think we can do without it.
