Since my Super Mario Bros Transparent hack was getting positive feedback, I decided to start another transparent hack:   Only Megaman is transparent so far. Is this a good idea for another transparent hack? |

| I dunno, Megaman's graphics are a bit more complex than something like a Mario game. You can always give it a shot, just don't go nuts with a bunch of hacks like this else your original will lose it's novelty. | |||

Unfortunately, I'd have to agree.  Almost every level has at least one blue background (with the exception of Fire Man and some Wily levels). It might be still worth doing, though. |

| Eh, it's just a graphic hack. Go crazy with it. I think making Megaman's outline black, and surrounding it in a layer of white would be a nice idea. it'd be easier to see. Just my 2 cents. | |||

| The black outline would, without a doubt, look better but I want megaman to change color when he selects a different weapon. Besides I'm not going to spend alot of time on this hack. The people want level hacks and thats what I'm trying to concentrate on now. | |||

| Man, FUCK the people. You aren't incapable of doing something because you want/like to do it. Don't fall into the kind of trap where you only hack to gain some kind of fame or whatever. That generally makes for drama on yoru end in the long run. Besides, as a general rule nothing is worth doing if you aren't doing it for yourself in the first place. |

| I rather play Megaman anniversery collection for Gamecube than this transparent hack. My current megaman hack I like to play is Megaman ultra. That is a real hack. You rather make some levels or let's move on. |

Around here, there are people who aren't satisfied until they see someone thouroghly trashed for a creating a quick-and-simple hack like your own, so there was an inevitable, huge, but strangely delayed backlash. Don't let it get to you. I agree that you should probably start editing levels - and definitely don't start pumping out simple graphics hacks, one right after the next and posting each one in their own thread. But don't do anything purely for recognition, especially not to get it from people around here. There are people who take this kind of stuff way too seriously - make a point not to become one of them. |
