Now that I've fixed up the puuuurty colours on my OW, I'd like to change the border and writing (you guys know what I mean, like where it's all peach, shows pictures of fire flowers, stars, mushrooms, and says the level name) I don't wanna mess around with random colours on the overworld palette and accidentally screw it up, so could someone help me out by telling me which row or set of colours the border is in? Thanks

hmm.. well, most of the peach part is palette 1 color 9, but it looks like the border shadows and the bit of peach behind Mario is a different palette.

My advice is to just copy a clean SMW rom and start changing colors.

Yeah, palette 1 color 9, and palette 1 color B control the color of the background - I got all that, but that peach colour behind mario is what I'm stuck on - looks like I gotta figure it out

The peach color behind Mario is index 0x7 of sprite palette 0x3, which is also Luigi's skin color. You can change the palette line for the tiles behind Mario at address 20808, but everything beyond palette line 0x3 is translucent.
