| My Felicia tail was extremely easy to make. I figured out how long I wanted it to be, added a little bit on the end (1/2 inch or so) to give myself room to make the rounded end, multiplied the desired thickness by 3.14 to get the width, and added a seam allowance on both sides. Then I cut a rectangle of that size out of stretch velvet, pinned it right sides together, and sewed the outside seam, rounding it off at the end. Next, I turned it right side out and stuffed it with stuffing and the help of a broomstick. If you want the tail to hold a curve, put some thick wire in it before you stuff it. You can also work the end of the wire into some sort of hanger so you can stick the tail into the back of your pants, but I'm not really sure how to do that. (I sewed mine onto a leotard.) | I think you can buy those. If you don't wanna do that, perhaps you could just twist some fabric into shape, then wrap more around it for looks. Speaking of costumes, I need some red parachute pants, anyone got any? |
