Access Denied
The requested document, http://board.acmlm.org/index.php, will not be shown.

Reason: DDR score = 79. This page will not be displayed because it contains prohibited words or it has exceeded its tolerance of questionable words.

Er... anyone know what's up? I've done View Source on this at home, yet "DDR score" wasn't even found...

Web filter. There's one running somewhere between here and on your computer.

Find it and disable it.

The computers are running on a network(basically the whole thing is on a server a few blocks away)... and I'm not completely sure if it's possible to do that, since I think we're limited in the folders and programs we can access. =\

Plus it's logged, so... I'd end up failing the class for disabling it. I'm more looking for what's possibly causing this, since I have no idea whatsoever can make it think "DDR score= 79" is found on the page. O.o

...Or maybe I'm completely not getting this.

There is a filter that detects 'bad words' or swear words. Sometimes words that are not in the dictionary. It will go through the page, and if you hit a certain number of bad words it will cancel you out.

I suggest a 'bad word filter' that changes sex, into "puff" or something less 'bad'.

Or a proxy. CGI-based if possible.

Except that if this is filtering everything, it will naturally filter out CGI Proxies too.

DDR Score is possibly the 'score' of the wrds on the page; the 'limit' is probably 75, though I have no idea what it actually is

Most network admins don't even know about CGI proxies, and as long as their index page doesn't contain too many blocked words, it should go through. I think there are some that use https for the really anal filters too. Most filters work by watching for outgoing URL requests, and redirecting... this stops normal proxies from working (as you're still sending a URL request), but CGI proxies send the URL through POST, often encrypted, so it won't be noticed.
