| I have a friend who is 18 and dating someone that age. We (me and his other friends) all tease him for it, but we mean nothing by it, as none of us actually object to it. You'll probably get a lot of people making fun of you for it, but I doubt anyone actually means anything by it. | |||

Age ain't nothin' but a number so have fun with it. I don't really know many people in a really wide age gap. Except for one of my friends who is my age (16) who is going out with a guy in college. Not sure but I think he's close to 20  . I don't even know if her mom knows about it. I think she might, but just watch out for the laws and stuff like that  . |

| You need to apply the formula. Where O is the older person's age and Y is the younger: 1/2(O)+ 7 < Y Half the older person's age and add 7... the younger must be older than that, for it to not be weird. So if you're 18... 1/2(18) + 7 = 16 1/2(18) + 7 > 15 Sorry, it's weird. (edited by Arwon on 04-25-04 08:41 AM) |

| Young age differences shouldn't matter it's the ages differences like for example - 16 and a 45 year old or something like that that is wrong and will never work out. I see people being better off around their own ages |

3 years isn't bad for an age difference. Heck, my parents had an 8 year age difference when they got married. It doesn't really matter what age the person you love is, just as long as you don't try to have sex with her if she's under the legal age where you live (I live in the U.S. and the state I live in's age of consent is 16 last I checked) I'm 18, btw.) But just because the girls in the sophomore class at my HS are 16 doesn't mean I'm going to go have sex with them. |

| If you think that three years makes that much of a difference, i will tell you something. My sister who is 23 now, married a man, whom she loves, and he loves her as well. This man, whom I have met, is in his 50's. Age matters only because society makes it matter. All that matters is what makes you happy. (and that it is legal) do what you want to do, not what society makes you do. |
