Awhile back I asked if anyone would be willing to make a new layout for me. Setzer agreed, and this was the result. Recently, HyperHacker mentioned that my links were the same color as my postbg, I said that they showed up fine to me, and it was concluded that the link colors are determined by the layout you're using. That meant I needed a CSS file to control the colors in my layout. I asked Setz, but he said he only knows pure HTML. So I asked HyperHacker, but he didn't have the time. So I decided to say screw it, and attempt to make it myself... The last time I made a CSS file, well, the results weren't that great... This time, I think I did a lot better. I've set up my text, my blockquote, my HR, my LI, my links, and even the code tag: Originally posted by Elric And this is an example of the < I wanted it to look like an MS-DOS prompt. Here's a fake link so you can see them when they're unvisited, and a real one to see them when they're visited. The HR tag was originally the same color as the BG color outside the main post area, but when I tested it with the blockquote, it was the same color, so you couldn't see it. Hmm... seems that the font color for the LI tag bleeds over into any text after it. Any ideas how to prevent that? I'm thinking probably set up a seperate thinger for it, then use a DIV tag for LI stuff... |

Hmm... my BLOCKQUOTE didn't show up right in Opera. Neiher did my HR tag. As for the CODE tag, I suspect it's because I used the fake Z tag. At least the text and links are readable... |

I used W3 Schools to get some info for some of the things, since I wanted it to be cross-browser friendly. Of couse, their data only listed support in IE and NS... And confound it! Why is the link for Setzer in my layout red? I specifically made a DIV tag for it since I couldn't make it NOT red for some reason. Stupid thing... |
