Which of these NES Heroes should be in a All Star Rom hack?
Making a NES game rom hack that will allow for choosing a few multiple heroes. I want to make it an "All Star" hack. Who are your favorite NES heores from that era?

Not sure what limits are at this point but for now vote for whoever you think should make the cut (as many as you want).

"Kriby" should be Kirby, BTW.

My vote goes to Mike Jones all the way! It's really a shame that he hasn't received a series revival in the ways that Ninja Gaiden and Metal Gear have. Or at the very least, a Smash Bros. appearence!!

Anyway, I guess heroes designed by Nintendo of America lose out in the long run....too bad -- both of the Startropics games are great.

I am sure Yoshi never appeared on the NES (if you don't count the SMW-NES fakeness). Also, I relatively am there never was a Sonic game released for it.

I know Yoshi did appear in 2 puzzle games on the SNES. Yoshi's Cookie and Yoshi.

My votes:

Alex, Link, Mega Man, and Samus

Yoshi was in Mario is Missing, and those puzzle games.

In cases like Raphael, Billy Lee, Bub, Zitz, etc pick for any one of the pallette swap characters. I am not sure what the limit is but since it is 8-bit it won't be detailed enough that Raphael or Leonardo would look any different other than color (for example).

I could say "Ninja Turtle" generically I suppose.

Yoshi, Sonic, and probably Wario may not belong on the list as they weren't main heroes; then again people may enjoy them there- we'll let the free internet decide.

Yoshi is Mario's dinosaur-like friend, first appearing in Super Mario World for the Super Famicom [=SNES] in his Japanese release.

They weren't just no main heroes, they did not appear on the NES at all, hence either the poll question, or the options are out of place. Sonic, in fact, was economically Mario's worst enemy, not Bowser.

Yoshi perhaps did not first appear on NES (neither did Mario) but he was in NES Versions of Mario is Missing, Yoshi, and Yoshi's Cookie.

Wario was in Wario's Woods

Sonic did not appear at all.

I get you point and in a pure NES sense they do not belong, but some may want these in there still. And if they don't, they won't vote. Free market at work

How could you forget the awesome game Yoshi for NES? Plus, I know I played an NES Yoshi's Cookie. Sonic, though... maybe in crappy pirates, but those don't count.

Also, I can't see the bars. [Screenshot]

Tough choice for me between megaman and link.
Honestly, I'd choose link.
