Fu, your probably right concidering you created these programs, but my patch was fine, I checked it both in LM and Zsnes. It was 2MB both times. Never tried it bigger or smaller than that though. maby kirby's "original" rom was corrupt?

Perhaps it was his, perhaps it was yours... I don't have the patch to check myself. It was the bit about expansion that bothered me. There is simply no reason to expand a ROM prior to patching it if the patch was made using the original unmodified ROM, because the patch will expand the ROM for you.

If you made a mistake and used a modified ROM in place of the original to create the patch, the ROM will be messed up for everyone else. Expanding the ROM prior to patching is not going to fix anything other than the size.

And if for some reason you just intentionally expanded your original ROM with Lunar Expand and used it as the "unmodified" ROM to create the patch (thus making expanding the ROM prior to patching actually necessary for everyone else), then I'd have to ask why, because that just makes it more work for everyone else to apply it. Unless done for legal reasons like with DWTLC (SMW ROM larger than 4MB), it serves no purpose and should be avoided.

Thanks Kirby. I've decided to make a change of guidelines.

If you want more level tell of what kinds. If you want them removed, tell by name or level number. Also, name the type, if you want it on the main map or a submap, ExGFX, or pallets.

I have decided to come out of break from my two overworlds for Bookreader. If you want one, tell me how you want it. The 3rd pic in my list is of that overworld if you don't really care about your prefrence. If you have an idea tell me what type, name, if you want it on a submap, what level tiles you want addes or removed(list the level name). I also move Donut Secret 2 and Chocolate Secret near its area.

EDIT: Looks good Kirby. If I can get more overworlds like that, I just might make you one of the overworld makers.

I for one could not have asked for better timing than this. I am not good at overworlds, and i cannot have a hack with no overworld.

Tetris. Tetris has been on my mind ever since i had the motivation to do my hack. Tetris, and sonic the hedgehog.

First choice
Sub-Map, start.
Theme, SMB3.
1 Yoshi's House
4 of 1 exit levels
2 of 2 exit levels
1 ghost house
no fortresses
1 Castle
no switch palaces
1 secret
Any comments of the world: ExGFX if possible, make it look a little like SMB3

Main Map, Northeast corner.
Theme Sonic the hedgehog --OR-- Tetris
1 Yoshi's House
6 of 1 exit levels
2 of 2 exit levels
no ghost houses
2 fortresses
1 Castle
1 switch palaces.
2 of secrets
Any comments of the world: It doesn't matter what you use to make this, don't worry about interfering with any storyline. Its foolproof. ExGFX if possible.

Whoever could do the tetris thing would be GOD of the overworlds.

I do not have any of the overworld changed, but will it make a difference? Do I need to still send you a patch of my hack? ExGFX are added for levels, but slots 91+ are empty. I do not have any ExGFX currently as I am on a different computer.

I'd like to give a report of my overworlds I'm doing at the moment.

KP9000:I haven't gotten to starting yours(too busy with other things). I'll start on it untill I recive Populous's world 2.

Carcaptor Yoshi:I'm nearly finished. I was unable to get the required levels for the speical zone so I added an 'Ultra Secret Zone'. With the overworld, I have added a level from the unreleased SMWUM V4 that would go perfect with the volcano.

Populous:I'm still waiting for a response for the second world. Try to get it in through PM to me ASAP.

That's all I have for now

I'm confused. What do you mean by "getting the required levels" and "adding a level"? Otherwise, sounds like you're making really quick progress! Thanks for your help!
