Mmm... been thinking about cooking and stuff lately. I never used to be able to cook -- hell, it's been said that I could burn water in the past... but I've been getting a LOT better lately. So I've been thinking more about.. well, cooking.

I'm sure most of you can cook at least something that you think you're pretty darned good at, so I thought it might be fun to share some recipes of stuff we're good at making

I'll start by sharing with you what I'm gonna make tomorrow night for dinner Tonight I'm making minted spring lamb chops, but tomorrow night, I'm havin' Garlic Prawns! (YAY for Wednesday nights -- Seafood night!)

Garlic Prawns mmmmm....

Recipe is for one person, and shouldn't take too long to make. The bit that takes me forever is peeling the prawns, cause I make a mess everywhere and I'm just plain slow at it.

You need:
About 10 big yummy prawns (peeled)
Extra virgin olive oil to cover your pan
2 tablespoons of butter (mmm butter)
3 tablespoons fresh crushed garlic (mmm garlic)
some chopped parsley
somewhere between half and three-quarters of a cup of cream
rice.

Heat the oil and chuck the prans in till they're only just cooked. Then add all the rest of the stuff (minus the rice), and simmer so that the sauce reduces a bit. Serve it over steamed rice. I tend to have brocolli too, cause I needs mah veggies Brocolli's good all garlicy too

I'm 16. My mommy cooks for me.

Well, most of the time. I can cook some things, I can follow a recipe, as long as it's not too complex.. I'm good.

Um..I don't really know any recipes . I cook them off the box or bottle like I've been baking Peanut butter cookies a lot lately because we don't have chocolate chips but plenty of peanut butter . I've tried 2 recipes. The first one was really good but something was wrong with the second one for some reason because it didn't taste as sweet but it was still goood . The 2nd one I used was at About.com

Blah... my brother seems to think that too. It's pretty good (depending on the type of course) if you add an egg to it

Dude, I had this crazy bake contest in 6th grade. My mother told me her famous awsome chocolate chip cookie recipe (also seen on the back of Nestle chocolate chips... Yeah, thats where she got it from). Anyways, I built upon her recipe and added an exciting new twist! I added powerded sugar on the cookies and mini M&Ms. I won the contest! Weeh!

INSTRUCTIONS:

Bake a batch of chocolate chip cookies. Put mini M&Ms in the batter along with chocolate chips.

While relatively fresh out of the oven, smuther powdered sugar all over them so they are completely white.

Viola! You have made Snika's Famous Snookys (Snow Covered Cookies!),
An Alaskan treat that can't be beat!

Granted, I'm not much of a cook, but I CAN poach an egg. Since you don't have to grease the pan, there's no fat added. Next time I cook, I'll give eggs benedict a shot. It doesn't seem that difficult.

One time, I went to a friend's house for dinner, and they had made the best soup I had ever had. I had tried to get the recipie for a year before I found out that they pretty much threw a bunch of random stuff into a pot and cooked it, leaving no record of what they put in.

Drink recipes? Well, let me think...for food recipes, I can make curries with not too much problem, but the eggs I do not like very much.

Ingredients for curry

yogurt
lots of spices
vegtables
meat

Instructions

1. Cook.
2. Eat.

Guys, mind posting, you know, actual useful recipes instead of silly stuff? Thanks.

Taryn - I'll see if I can steal a recipe from the kitchen later to share. Something sweet...

I never use a recipe, I always just make it up as I go along, and in my opinion I make some kick ass Steak Fried Rice, using a good piece of steak, teriyaki sauce, minute rice, soya sauce, and a few other sauces, very good. and it takes less then 30 minutes to make usually.
