For those of you who don't know what Daigaso Band Brother is, it's the game once known as Game Boy Music, it's a music game for DS, where you play a Instrument in a song, like those betami games from Konami.

here you can download a movie, showing 8 buisnesspeople playing that Game and the intro of FMA.

Enjoy.

BEMANI...first off...

Second off, I know for a fact I've heard that song somewhere. God, it's going to be in my head the whole day now. Cool intro...now do MAXX Unlimited with that shit, especially after the pause.

This is yet another game I have to add to my list of games I want to get I heard a bit about it a little while back, and had forgotten about it since then. I tried to watch the movie, but there's people walking back and forth in here, so I can't keep the window open for very long I must say it does look pretty interesting. I was able to find some screenshots, which are just as good.

I don't know why, but I can't help but think of the Mario Bandstand from one of the Mario Party games (I can't remember which one)

That aside, I'm definitely looking forward to this. I just read something on another site that dealt with an expansion pack for the game, which is on a GBA cart, so now I'm wondering whether both the base game and expansion will be sold as one bundle, or seperately Either way, it looks pretty fun, so the only thing to do now is wait for it's release

The Expantion, released on a GBA cart, will be out on next wednesday in Japan.

I have that game. (Well, my sister does. Hey, shut up). Its excellent. You can compose your own songs, so we've made things like the Star Ocean 2 and FF1 battle musics.
Also, the Pokemon theme in that game is really well done. It might be my favorite song in it, but there are a lot of gems.
Melissa is the song playing in that video (assuming its the same video I saw months ago). The first theme song for Full Metal Alchemist. Ready Steady Go is also in the game (second theme song).

I wouldnt wait for it to be released here. If it ever does come out here, theyd probably change all the great japanese songs to crappy rock american ones. Also, I kind of wonder if theyd keep in all the game music. (Pokemon, Fire Emblem, F-Zero, Kirby, Zelda, classic NES tunes). Besides, the game really isnt that heavy on japanese, you can manage without even reading a translation or FAQ... unless you want to compose your own stuff. Then you should check the Pro Edit FAQ on GameFAQs.

I've had this game since the day it came out (and I recently pre-ordered the extra songs expansion pak for the GBA slot) and I still play it every now and then. It's a great DS game, one of the best! (Although, gold record mode after you totally beat the game is really really hard. )

Is this coming to North America any time soon? This just seems like one of those niche titles that Nintendo could potentially make a decent chunk of cash on out of nowhere.

They announced an English title for the game (Jam with the Band), but we've heard nothing about a release date. I'm assuming they'll change a lot of the songs, since theres a few J-Pop in there, but it'd be really nice if they don't. Or if they actually pick good songs, instead of what they did to Donkey Konga.

They're probably just sitting on it wondering whether or not it should be released.

Of course, with the DS library becoming more solid, it wouldn't be such a bad addition. Probably not *that* hard to localize either once you get some copyright issues out of the way. (Like DDR)

IIRC, DS games are being imported quicker than any other system thus far. There are a lot of games out in Japan than people want over here. While a few of them will eventually be translated, a bunch probably never will make it over here. (Jump Super Stars probably wont. Ouendan wont. Band Brothers and Egg Monster Heroes are still "maybe"s)
