Actually, I was able to get rid of patches in my hacks, though they're not SMW hacks. I think you can. Patch the patch(es) you don't want to a clean ROM (hereby called ROM A). Then create a patch with the unmodified ROM as ROM A, and select the modified ROM as the original ROM. Make sure they have the 200 byte headers. Then patch the ips to your hack to get rid of the patches. I'm not sure if this would work with SMW hacks, though, so take backups. Oh yes, use Lunar IPS for this! Well, why are you trying to get rid of the patches? -Do you have a hack that you want to return to the original game? Just get a new rom. -Is there part of a hack you want ot get rid of? If this is what you are looking for, then you can just get the ipselect program. It shows all the "hunks" of an ips patch and will let you choose which ones you want to put in (Doesn't work with the Demo World hack). I googled it and couldn't find it though. I could temporarily put it on my site and PM it to you if this is what you need though. |

Originally posted by Koopa Kid Well, here are some things to be sure of: 1) Are you SURE it is the patch causing the glitches. Sometimes people get crappy emulators. 2) Is it a clean SMW rom? 3) Does the maker of the patch state that the SMW rom needs to be expanded? If all else fails, then I will send you the ipselect program and you can tinker with it or you can send me the patch and I'll tinker with that. What hack is it anyway? |
