What (if anything) do you guys do for exercise?

I've been swimming for nearly a month now. I used to swim as a kid/teen but gave it up when I found more fun things to do, like drinking. Now I've taken it up again and I swim 3 times a week (this morning I swam 2 km, yay).

I also walk a little, and I take the stairs at work a bit to try to build up the muscle in my right knee, which I seem to have injured...

What do you guys do for exercise?
(Note: typing is not exercise, and fapping is not exercise either...)

Well, I used to play this DDR course with 16 songs daily, but I seemed to have stopped, because of school, Acmlm's Board, and ROM hacking related stuff. I might try to DDR for excercise again tommorow. Not sure, though.

Work.

But, in a sense it's true. Since I work at Jiffy Lube (car oil-changing services), I'm always standing up, walking around, using tools, moving things, etc, so it's labor work.

That's about it, when I'm home, I just sit around.

I'd really like to start working out though, and bulk up a bit ...

We've had a fake offbrand bowflex thing setup in the basement for awhile now, but I still haven't touched it.

I used to be on a swim team, but I haven't been going for about 9 months now. I just got bored with it, plus I found it more relaxing to just come home after school and chill instead of swim laps. Jeez... I'm lazy. Maybe I'll start back up again soon.

Trials biking, but that's not really exercise as much as it is just a workout when you're going hard.

Parkour and rock climbing are my main forms of exercise.

Lets see.. I'm in a "power walking" class at school, which is surprisingly a great workout 3 days a week. When they say power, they mean it.
Other than that, I'm not as active as I used to be... I played softball for a few years on a club team, practices a few times a week, games a few times a week.. but my team sort of split up last year and I haven't really done anything since then.
I'll be starting work this weekend, at the local supermarket.. which should be some extra exercise. I think. Pushing carts, bagging groceries, helping people to their cars, standing the whole time.. that's gotta count for something.

DDR and walking.

But since I have a few months to go until the wedding, I'm going to go on a strict diet and exercise program.

Fun.

Before I came down here to Florida Id go to the gym 4-5 times a week. Id always run at least a mile and then lift wieghts until I was drained. On the days that I didnt lift wieghts Id either ride my bike around, play basketball, or go to the gym and run at least 2 miles. I dont bother with dieting or eating right, my metabolism is pretty fast so I never get fat.

When I came down here I lost access to my Gym and I think Kirbynites laziness wore off on me and I didnt do jack for like 3 weeks, but now Im getting back into routine. Theres pools everywhere so Im swimming every chance I get, I dont get to go lift wieghts as often as I used to so when I do I make it count even more. My back was so sore last week that I thought I was sprouting wings =P

I plan to move back to Chicago next semester, so although I wont get to swim as much as I can here ill be able to lift nearly every day again.

I walk home for exercise and that the fact I could get home earlier than taking the bus. My house is probably almost 2 miles from the high school and I do walk in the heat when going home. I should probably show my route later on.

Ive been doing alot of walking lately too, with really heavy bookbag on my back too. Last week I walked for like a half hour down some road before I realized I was going in the wrong direction so I had to turn around and walk for like another hour.

Aside from being a DDR freak, I also used to run a LOT. Jogging, cross-country (though I was never on the team), track (same case)...

But yeah, nowadays it's DDR. 8 and 9 footers add up after a while, surprisingly.

The amount of coffee I drink jacks up my metabolism, too, though I know that's really unhealthy.

I've always been very into diet and nutrition, I believe in eating right alongside exercising because I've never been blessed with a naturally high metabolism.

Nick's been dragging me to the gym lately, too... I've gotten back into my running habits. I also fence, which is a VERY good leg/arm workout. It's also good cardio work.

The problem, though, is diet. At college, you're either snacking all the time or eating line cook food. The freshman 15 is NOT a myth, and I'm going to try my hardest to maintain the weight I have already. I'm gonna be so embarassed if I balloon back up to 170 or 180 by the end of the semester.

Ive never wieghed over 130 pounds

That freshman 15 is bull, at least for me. The food here is so bad that I cant bring myself to finish an entire meal, and I dont have money to go out and eat every day. So I just like force myself to eat enough to not be hungry. It really does suck though, I dont know how long i can keep eating slimy eggs

Hrm, it's all line cook food here... Chock full of grease and shit.

Some of it's good though... They were serving pirogi earlier this week, and tonight was stuffed peppers. They tasted horrible, suffice it to say. Breakfast? We don't do slimy eggs, the eggs are at least a little substantial, if slightly overcooked. And scrambled, I prefer a nice fried to anything else.

Eggs are good for you!

Um... Not much really. Unless "walking up several flights of steps each day" counts. :\

Yet my metabolism's still good and all.

I really dont think walking or..."fapping" can be considered exercise. People should walk every day...its like breathing.

If lifting and carrying and climbing ladders don't count, then I'm out!

Ladder work, carrying lots of cable and stuff... that's about as close to exercise I get!
