I need to edit edit a sprite so that it looks different. Can anyone help me with this, cause I cant release my hack until I edit it, otherwise the story will be confusing.

Thx.

It's a tile editor, it lets you change the graphics in a rom. You can extract and replace the graphics from hyrule magic, just copy and paste, or you can use a program that FuSoYa put together (http://fusoya.cg-games.net/zelda/index.html) to extract and insert all the graphics at the same time (the sprites are at the end.)

I hate to sound mean, but if you feel that way, you have no business doing rom hacks.

Extracting the graphics, and editing them in a tile editor is the ONLY (ONLY I TELL YOU) ONLY way to edit the sprite graphics. Tile editors are made for that kind of thing...you know...editing sprite tiles? It looks like your going to have to buckle down, grin and bear it, and learn to use a tile editor. It's a piece of cake really.

1: Please use "You" instead of "u"

2: Use YY-CHR, its easy to use, unlike some GFX editors I know.

Really well done edited Palettes can be very very effective, and make the original graphics shine. Edited graphics arent absolutely necessary, but if you don't have a deadline for when your hack is going to be done, dive in and learn to use a tile editor. It can be as easy as Paint. In fact, you can convert standard image formats to snes format and vice versa and place your edited graphics in the tile editor and into your rom. Good luck with it.

....well concidering you keep saying your hack is almost done, yet seem to be asking how to do every single aspect of it, I highly doubt we'll be seeing your hack any time soon.

*agrees with above*

I remember hearing a while ago that "it was the last thing i need to do in my hack!"

heh.

In HM -> go to any room in dungeon -> right click -> edit blocks -> enter the number which the gfx appears in, then do some copy, edit and pasting

For what number to put into the game, go to that Hyrule Magic Faq thread over at Tek hacks, i believe there's a long list of what each set of blocks are somewhere in there.

Yeh there is a list. It was compiled by Dark_X and it got deleted from the Acmlm Zelda hacking thread when that forum was deleted. So i reposted it with a couple of improvements that DX missed.

Well, that's uncalled for. Look, you say you hack, but you don't want to use a tile editor. For your own benefit, I'm closing this thread.
