ive brought this issue up before, when php5 was first released, and now, ive downloaded and installed apache2, php5 and mysql 4 again, and decided to mess around the an acmlmboard, does anyone know what could be the cause of the board not working in php5, i didnt think they changed a huge amount, and also, technically theres no errors, just a blank white page...

I don't think php5 works with apache2(or apache 1.3 for that matter), I've never been able to get it to work for starters. You should use php4, I'm using php4 with apache 1.3 and I'm having problems, I can't get php working the way it should. Stick with apache2 and php4. Mysql 4.0 works with php4, or atleast it use to. The dll file doesn't work in apache 3, the best you get when using the binary for php is "/cgi-bin/php4/php.exe" when you check where users are on the board. I'm going to have to use apache2 as well. I recamend you stick with apache2, php4 and mysql 4.0.

It reminds me of changing from AcmlmBoard v1.7 to v1.8a... the Admin Link suddenly didn't work. I looked at the code plenty of times, but never could figure out why it didn't work... Note: The actual break of the Admin link may have happened in the v1.6 -> v1.7 upgrade. I no longer remember. |

I'm pretty sure this is one of the major reasons why 2.0 is going to exist - because it'll be compatible with newer versions of php, MySQL, and so forth. At least just from what I remember hearing |
