I've played air man's stage so far, and this hack looks pretty good. There are still glitches, indeed, like when you hit that weird things that spit worms in air man's stage: there're the first two of them, one that is in the lower part of the street and other in the right-upper part. If you kill the lower one, the upper one disappears inmediately, but this is more a benefit than an annoyance . I'll keep playing ,as a megaman fan that i am. Keep up the good work

Here's the newly updated patch. If you're unaware of the changes, please look back on page 1. Also, I fixed the issues with the Schworm enemies on Airman's stage. No longer will you have to have a diagonal weapon to get the ones below your feet.

I also must warn, there are still 2 major glitches at the end of the game, that I've been unsuccessful at fixing. Woodman, Quickman, Flashman, & Bubbleman, in the 8 boss room of Wily5, they're all glitched. And when you defeat the Alien Wily, the game crashes. I have screenshots of the finale in my other previous thread. If there is anyone willing to take a look at my rom, and could possibly fix these glitches for me, it would be greatly appreciated, and the hack would be truley, "finished"

Finally, I'm able to try this hack out. I've had lots of homework and projects and stuff these weeks, so I haven't got around trying out all the newest hacks around here. Great work, infidelity, I'll try this out and give you some feedback later on.

Thank you very much for being agreeable. I just finished quickmans level and it was a blast. I really liked that open air arena sort of thing you had going. *goes off to play some more*

Edits: I found some interesting glitches in Wood Mans stage. First, you know where you stuck that one up right where the bat was covering up? On that flag pole thing? If you try going up while hitting a solid object (apparently) your animations go a little wild as you try automatically jump down while you are still holding up, and you switch from left to right very very quickly. If your timing is lucky enough, megaman is actually able to shoot off two bullets at once, one going left the other going right.

The other glitch is a bit more serious. When I got to good ole woodman I found that I could punch though his shield sometimes because megamans shots were going so fast.

yeah that ladder glitch is kind weird where the extra life is. once I get it, I just bang a right, and let him fall. lol. You'll also notice that type of ladder/ladders in a certain level, you'll need that little glitch to advance to other ladders. But it does work, and it's save state free!! And I understand how it's hard to punch through the Woodman shield with the cannon going so fast, i've noticed that if you have a turbo button on, it works really well blasting through the shield. I believe my shot spped is 1 less than what is set in Rockman Exile. Looks like poor mario didn't defeat Woodman huh? :-( lol. Thank You for your compliment on Quickman's level! I love how I made the city lights blink, lol. Enjoy! And if there's any other problems/quirks, keep them coming asap! :-)

Oh it's not so much that it's HARD to punch through his leaf shield, it's more of a matter that you can at all. It's like... wtf is the point of him even having a shield otherwise? It's neat that you can do it, but it kind of makes wood man even more of a puss than usual.

Just from reading the various other comments in the thread it sounds like you're still working things out; as such, I'm going to wait a little while until a -really- polished version is out The ultimate experience, as it were.

I just wanted to say thanks for an incredibly fun time. My favorite touch was the one Wily 1 puzzle where you had to go through the side instead of vertically. Oh, and Wily 4 was a blast -- I loved the space motif.

Keep up the stellar work, and I can't wait to see what you'll do in the future!

I know the sollution of this situation:

"Woodman, Quickman, Flashman, & Bubbleman, in the 8 boss room of Wily5, they're all glitched."

This happens because the Wily 5 stage boss rooms load the boss graphics from the original boss rooms' scroll directions. For instance, Bubble Man is loaded from scroll data 07 in Bubble Man's stage, since this is where he originally appears in the original level. I haven't found a way to fix this in hex (maybe someone else has), so the only sollution I know of is to change the scroll datas for the original bosses back. In other words: In Bubble Man's stage, you have to change scroll data 07 back to Bubble Man's graphics, and possibly delete the current enemies in this section (07).

I hope that was understandable. I'm tired.

DurfarC - Thanks for the info. I was able to fix Quickman, and Bubbleman. The other 2, are in areas where I have specific enemy placements. If the others could be hex edited to work, that would be great. And I was able to understand you, go take a nap, and let me know what ya think! ;-) Thanks once again!

Thank you! That was driving me nuts! And to think I was just about to PM infidelity!

Anyway, I've beated all the levels up to Wily 1 in the most recently-released patch and they're all pretty good so far. I'll post again after I beat the game (or to the extent that the game can be beaten, I guess, since it freezes at the end, I understand).

Googie - lol, thank you very much! my original idea was to have just the world 1-1 level in Woodman, then, I started to get ideas. what if some of the blocks, coins were used, missing? So, I decided to make some of the coin blocks used, and some breakable blocks missing. Then, I was like, hmm, I want to make it look like mario was just here, that's where breakable blocks on the floor came in. Then, I was like, what if mario tried to fight woodman? lol, so, woodman shoots mario with a leve shield, and traps him! lol Thank You for your comments!

Dwedit - I like it just the way it is.

EDIT - Also, are there other hacking forums, or other websites, where I can post my hack? Thank You all for playing.
