I inserted the ExGFX and when i went to play the game the graphics turned back to what they were before i inserted them into the 16x16 editor

It would be very helpful to others if you told us what you did step-by-step. There are various reasons that this could have happened. Did you hit F9 to save changes? Did you use the right ExGFX file for the level? Please be specific.
