Well, this is my third hack (the first one was poor and the second one was cancelled). I've been hacking for a few years now. I haven't inserted any EXGFX (yet), other than the ones FuSoYa inserted in Demo World. I've also made a few all-game graphic hacks.

In order from left to right, top to bottom:

1. Part of the Title Screen where Mario jumps off of two Bullet Bills and over the rest.

2. Part of the Title Screen where Mario ducks to avoid Lava Lotus fireballs.

3. Lakitus throwing Bouncing Green Paratroopas.

4. A graphic hack in which Hammer Brothers throw YI coconuts.

5. A challenge in which Mario must hit a P-Switch, and run up the coins that transformed into brown blocks in a fast auto scroll level.

6. Mario must jump up the Bill Blasters while avoiding Bullet Bills shooting from all sides, Bullet Bills shooting from the Bill Blasters, and a Bouncing Chuck.

7. This one isn't much, but I wanted to get comments on my YI Message Block.

8. A Bouncing Chuck and turning platforms.

9. One of those Mega Mole Muncher challenges. Aren't those coins tempting? It is possible to get all three.

10. World 1 map-Ah Zure Islands *several people are seen rolling their eyes at the world name*

All constructive critisism is accepted.

Nice, seem to have wacky level design, but just fix the graphic on 7 and 10

And put a cloud BG on 9

Also, you may want to import some ExGFX

1. 2005 looks a bit weird like that. I think you should switch the colors.
2. Same as 1., but I also think the Lava Lotus looks weird being inside the ground blocks. Try to put it on the ground instead.
3. Why is the Lakitu in the cloud looks like he's on the cloud? Try to make it look like he's in the cloud, unless this would occur in the original SMW.
4. I'll assume the green blobs are replacements for hammers. In that case, I think that the Hammer Brother should be some blob monster or something like that.
5. Not bad. Nothing to improve in that, really.
6. See 5.
7. Looks a bit empty, and that block in the screen looks odd. The top edge looks cut off. Try to add an edge to that block.
8. See 5.
9. See 5., except that I think you should add more stuff.
10. Weird blue (not the same color as water) stuff below the islands and weird orange stuff near the islands. The thing at the top also looks a bit weird. Try to add edges to that thing.

For not having any ExGFX yet, it sure does have a lot of ExGFX in it. (Has it come to the point where ExGFX can only come from the workshop and original gfx are called "graphic hacks.)

And that last shot just has horrible palette problems.

Who said no ExGFX?

It looks nice, but would look a lot better with more ExGFX. Make a proper graphic for something you need instead of hacking up something with existing ones.

1.) Nice putting Mario in a harrowing predicament in the intro! Makes it exciting before one plays! Very good!

2.) Good making Mario duck under the lotus!

3.) Lakitus isnot supposed to be like moles! They has no claws that are sharp! Plus too many enemies in that screen for me to challenge!

4.) Nice! High Flyin' Needle-Nose Brothers!

5.) Good. Are those blocks pswitch activated?

6.) Okay. The Bullet Bill Blaster Traversing is too cliche, but its doable!

7.) Meh. Nice Info block. Make less use of flat ground!

8.) Okay. Nothing too interesting here. Just for everyones sake, don't smack Chargin' Chuck stuck in the bricks like that!

9.) Good. Don't forget that some levels like that make riding Yoshi easy!

10.) Meh. There's three square islands. What else???

It looks nice, but I don't like 2 things . .

1. The title screen is kinda plain - I mean the one with the bullet bills, I dont really like it.

2. The OW is WAAAAAY too sqaure.

Other than that, great work so far!

EDIT: The top of the message box is also cut off. Fix it.

Looks really good, but screenshot 10 looks a bit weird, because the colour of the water and the colour of the cliffs with the waterfall...
...and on the top corners of each island there are brown thingies...
Anyway, this hack looks good, I like the screenshots number 1, 2 and 9. Keep it up!

Screen 1: See how there are little bits of extra dirt pieces at the edges. You are most likely using the incorrect edge tiles. Use the ones provided in the standard objects menu. These extra pieces of dirt can also occur when you double up the edges, by placing to edges on top of one another, so try to see what the problem is here.
Screen 2: No complaints here.
Screen 3: If you look closely, lakitu is coming out of his cloud. I believe this is caused by sprite overload. Try reducing the amount of sprites on the screen or change the sprite memory.
Screen 4: Cool needlenose replacements for the hammers .
Screen 5: No complaints here.
Screen 6: Looks pretty intense yet exciting.
Screen 7: That message box doesn't look so good, mainly because of those little black edges at the edge. Try to touch up that message box a bit.
Screen 8: Why are there two folding platforms on top of each other like that?
Screen 9: Looks pretty fun.
Screen 10: Seriously, this overworld needs a lot of work. First of all, square islands are a turn-off for a lot a players. A lot of them like to see overworlds with more creative and complicated shapes. Second, the edges of the islands look pretty bad. There's a bit of dirt at the tops of the islands, and a weird shadow of blue at the bottoms. Third, those waterfalls at the top need plenty of work. The ledges in between the waterfalls don't look good with the pink stripes in the middle. Plus, the ledges and waterfalls don't have the appropriate end tiles. The ledges need bottom end tiles like the islands, and the waterfalls need a small current at the edges of them to make the waterfalls have an "end". Plus, the color of the waterfalls doesn't match the color of the sea water.

The only thing that needs major work is the overworld. Other than that there are a few minor things in the levels that need to be worked out. Everything else looks quite good for your first go-around, not too bad Dylan.

Everything in bold in this post is a quote, in order. I will comment on the ones that I feel necessary to comment on.

Nice, seem to have wacky level design, but just fix the graphic on 7 and 10

Thanks, and I'm going to fix the graphics.

And put a cloud BG on 9

That one is going to be one of the levels with EXGFX inserted into it, once I get to doing that.

Also, you may want to import some ExGFX

I'm working on that.

1. 2005 looks a bit weird like that. I think you should switch the colors.

I'll work on that. Thanks.

2. Same as 1., but I also think the Lava Lotus looks weird being inside the ground blocks. Try to put it on the ground instead.

I could do that, but it would cause me to remake the movements on the title screen, which took me forever to make in the first place. I'll only do it if next to everyone thinks that.

3. Why is the Lakitu in the cloud looks like he's on the cloud? Try to make it look like he's in the cloud, unless this would occur in the original SMW.

I think it has to do with there being too many sprites on the screen. Its a minor glitch, but I can try to change it if most people would rather me do that.

4. I'll assume the green blobs are replacements for hammers. In that case, I think that the Hammer Brother should be some blob monster or something like that.

I wanted to rip the Grinder monkey from YI to throw them, but the arms on his sprites are seperate from the body itself.

10. Weird blue (not the same color as water) stuff below the islands and weird orange stuff near the islands. The thing at the top also looks a bit weird. Try to add edges to that thing.

To answer all overworld questions plus this one: Thanks for pointing that out and I'm trying to fix it.

1.) Nice putting Mario in a harrowing predicament in the intro! Makes it exciting before one plays! Very good!

Thank you. I worked VERY hard to get the Title Screen movements perfect.

3.) Lakitus isnot supposed to be like moles! They has no claws that are sharp! Plus too many enemies in that screen for me to challenge!

I dunno, the Lakitus coming out of the ground seems like a nice feature. And the amount of enemies is smaller than it seems.

4.) Nice! High Flyin' Needle-Nose Brothers!

Thanks. And until now, I didn't know those coconuts were called Needle Noses.

5.) Good. Are those blocks pswitch activated?

Yes, they are.

6.) Okay. The Bullet Bill Blaster Traversing is too cliche, but its doable!

I am aware that they have been used before, but I came up with that idea before I saw it in any hacks. And doable? *needs dictionary definition unless its a misspelling for double*

8.) Okay. Nothing too interesting here. Just for everyones sake, don't smack Chargin' Chuck stuck in the bricks like that!

He isn't stuck inside the bricks, he can jump through them.

10.) Meh. There's three square islands. What else???

Three waterfalls . Actually, I'm working on making it more majestic.

1. The title screen is kinda plain - I mean the one with the bullet bills, I dont really like it.

Hmm, mind giving me a bit of a description of why its plain? I worked too hard on making the demo as it is...

Thanks for pointing that out. I'll try to work on it.

Screen 8: Why are there two folding platforms on top of each other like that?

Its a challenge I came up with in which you have to get past there with a Bouncing Chuck. It can be pretty difficult.

You should avoid having too many sprites. Important things like the goal tape may disappear.

I never put very many sprites near the Goal Tape, so I'm not very concerned about that. In fact, I haven't even seen any sprites disappear in this any of the levels of this hack yet.
