Since this now seems to be a discussion about both rabbits and cats, I have something to say about both of them, since we had / have each for pets. Unfortunately, we have neither a digital camera nor a scanner, so I can't post pictures of them

Since the thread started off with rabbits, I'll start with the one we owned as well. His or her (I can't remember which now) name was "Cloudy", named by my Mom. It was grey, rather round, didn't like baths, and so on. It died quite a while ago, as during the summer, we kept it in a cage my Dad built outside our garage, with leaves and such to soften the floor up a bit. Those leaves, however, had some sort of lumps on them (I remember someone saying they were eggs). Cloudy ate the leaves when it was hungry, and thus ate some of the eggs as well, which was, in some way, fatal

The one funny story I remember about it happened to my Mom. She used to teach a painting class with a group of friends in our house, and the room they used was the same room Cloudy was kept in during the fall and winter. During one of the painting classes, my Mom had put a margarine tub of water on the floor, which she used to rinse her brush off, and Cloudy promptly walked up and tipped it over That's about all I remember about it, seeing as it's been quite a while since it died.

As for cats, we currently have two. They're apparently both female (although we're not sure about one of them, but we treat it as a female). Their names are Tabby and Smok(e)y. Tabby is a black cat, with little bits of white at the tip of her fur, named by my sister. She's a tabby cat, if that wasn't already obvious Smokey is my Mom's. She's grey, very furry, and always keeps her tail bent back up and over her body, for whatever reason. I think she's a tabby as well, but I'm not completely sure.

If you want to read some funny stories about them, then I'll direct you to my post in this thread. That covers everything, as since then, they haven't done anything worth mentioning. Unless you count coming into my room and waking me up early in the morning As with Cloudy, they don't like taking baths, and anyone that tries to give them one is likely to come away with quite a few scratches and cuts, and two very angry cats

That's not to say that we haven't had other pets, but I won't go into those for now.

Jarukoth: Your cat looks pretty tired. And it looks like he doesn´t like the camera. Cute, though.

We have a dog but this thread is only about cats and rabbits.

Cats were only mentioned because someones cat ate one. A dog could eat one too

Jarukoth, your kitty lookes like mine in some ways. Mines fat and has bold spots because of fleas his hair should grow back because it's going to start getting colder.

As much as I like cats and dogs, I guess I'm the only one with a fondness towards rabbits enough to take a picture and post of it =o!

Well, that's just a shame. Everyone should have a pet rabbit at some point in their life. They're just wonderful. Affectionate, playful, and quiet. =D

Had another one very similar to the second picture.. sadly, back on June 27th, he had a cardiac arrest. :\ Just suddenly got sick, my parents were jackasses and decided not to take him to the vet on the 26th, only the coming Monday. But, sadly it was too late. I was and still am depressed from the loss.

I'm not exactly sure yet, as they are still pretty young. (Marty is 3 months old and Tuki is 4 months old.)

I assume Marty is a French Lop and that Tuki is a Holland Lop. But, again, not 100% sure until they are older.

She has four races in her so that´s very possible. The mother is a Golden Retriever but she only reaches to my knees.

The father is a Papillon and has Champion awards.

Here in Chile rabbits are a plague. It seems like they were introduced or sth in here. They eat crops and hoses, which annoys people from the country. In that way, it's allowed here to hunt rabbits for food. As for me, i dislike the idea of killing a rabbit for food (I remember posting in a poll that i only eat white meats ). Some people to prevent rabbits from doing so, they put some basins with water to make rabbits drink from them instead of chewing hoses. That's a much better idea

Aww, I wonder why they died so soon? Did they miss their Mama or something? My other cousin also had a rabit and kept it in a cage in the backyard. It was a big one too

I remember when my neighbors took care of a squirrel that hadn´t got any water for a long time. It was very cute.

It barely had powers to eat or drink. The left it at the animal hospital but it didn´t make it.
