That would just be pure torture. I couldn't live with that.

A program that detects a users intelligence based on the way they type and the content of their posts and/or PMs, and bans them on the spot if it's below a certian level.

It'd make MY job easier.

Oh, and a thread-bumper-killer, too!

That's good, but, it has several downsides. For one, what if the user has a mental condition? That could skew ratings considerably. I have attention deficit hyperactivity disorder: predominantly hyperactive type, asperger's syndrome, and a very mild form of dyslexia. As a result, despite my above-average intelligence, I occasionally swap words with words that sound the same, make typos such as taht, read things wrong, and have poor social skills in general (Though those have gotten much better) and I can't exactly catch all my mistakes =/

There is one already, but those who wear it also can't take it off, make sounds or interact with the rest of the world in any way. Sucks to be them.

Ah, but a program like that would be easy to make.

Just measure how many times the letter "U" appears in the post. To many and there is a auto-ban.

And here's why that wouldn't work. You see, the letter 'u' appears in the word 'you'. On that note, banning people who use u too much would ban people who use you too much as well.

It would look for " u ". As in "a space on each side".

Even if he didn't say "the word 'U'" he did say "the letter 'U'" and not "the letter 'u'". I'd be hard pressed to come up with many daily use words that must begin with a CAPITAL U, and even fewer sentences starting with a U.

A machine that you lower pancakes into a play with so they can resolve your horribly tangled plots? Sounds like a winner to me!

Except this already was there...

WIN!
Motion to win seconded. I'm going to try to figure out how to make some of that stuff now. I think I could make bubble wrap that pops more than once, but I can't think of a way to keep the air supply in the bubbles up.
