I saw that sign while on my drive up to VA (Virgina) and back. I've never seen that type of sign down here before. I guess its mainly used on the open road.

How do they pull you over.. land in front of you?
I've seen that picture before, but never a sign that I recall.. certainly not an aircraft enforcing speed.

I bet it doesn't pull over people, instead it shoots people who go over the speed limit.

Or maybe they just take down your license plate number.

I always wondered how things that do that (red light cameras, express toll highways, etc) deal with missing plates. Just take it off or hide it before you go through. Surely there must be some protection against such a simple tactic in place.

If I saw that I´d fucking stop and take a photo of it. Then I´d sell the picture named "Most stupid sign" to a newspaper.

I'd probably just stare at it in awe and take pictures of it. I'd also try and wave.

Stricter laws. They had to get it enforced one way. The old cop chase didn't teach them anything....Wonder what the fine of that is?

You could for example spray hairspray on your license plates, this will reflect the flash the cams use.

On topic: At first I thought this was a joke image. :s That's fucked up.

Didn't you guys ever see that story about a motorcyclist getting a ticket for going 200 mph from a helicopter. They timed him going past the mile markers.

Perhaps on your way through you might have noticed the dummy cars, i.e. patrol cars with dummies dressed as police officers or state troopers parked in the median.

There are often cop cars parked under a shady bridge, but still visible, without anyone in them here. It's a good plan I guess.. everyone always slows down when they see them.
