Well a lot of my technology thing have been going wrong...but it's not a tech problem.
1.On Monday my dad gets all angry and shit and throws a wrench into the garage and it's my fucking Ruby Red & Gold Dreamcast and scratched the paint on it. My mother says "Woopedoo!!! It's just a scratch just go over it with red paint." Little does she know the DC had clear on it and the clear was enamel I think, which you can not put latex or what ever over top of it. So my dad put the whole DC top into the paint remover and the paint gets removed so it can be repainted but, so does the plastic. HE MELTED MY FUCKING DC SHELL!!! This costed me $20 for the shell and $30 for the paint!!!(I don't have a job so $50 takes quite awhile to earn and he has no money)
2.There is a glare on this screen and I'm getting a headache from it. There is nothing I can do but use my old computer but it takes 5+ minutes to luanch Firefox and then another 5+ minutes to get to what I want to do on the internet.

((Is this the right place for this thread?))

I would never be in that situation because I don't have the money to blow off of making my gaming consoles pretty.

I agree with Yoshi ARR here...

...this is just trivial problems. $50 bucks? Boohoo. People are starving on the streets. They would love to have a Dreamcast. Or even a popcorn kernel?

10 Minutes to start your computer? My family had a Pentium 100 MHz till at least around the Pentium III came out, and it took at least 20 minutes to start the damned thing.

Remember. Whatever "crisis" you're going through, there is someone going through it worse then you.

I'm sick of you people hamming it up to get everyone to like you. It's always the same group of people, in every thread of this forum.. "oh that sucks" for EVERY THING. you guys don't even stop to think that maybe the person is acting a little spoiled.

$50 is nothing. he's a kid.

A place to come and get out all your troubles. Please, no flaming or spam. This is a very serious forum, and any such actions will have immediate consequences.

If you don't like what he's posting about, don't post. It's that simple. It's sad when people don't even want to post here because they're afraid people will make fun of them or tell them it's not serious enough.

You've all been warned. The next person to be rude or mean will be dealt with accordingly.

Reid, why don't you turn the lights off so there won't be a glare on the screen? And like tinzeee said, your dad damaged it, make him pay for it.

Thank you Delial, but there are no lights on in my house right now. It is just glare from the windows and nobody will let my do anything about it. Sad thing is my Dad doesn't have any income so he can't pay for even if he felt like it.

I know there are people out there you have it worse than me and then there are a lot of people out there who whine and bitch more than I do. I have no income and it was a fun thing that I thought I could do I saved my money for weeks and then started working on it, mind you that you can not just paint it with anything nor can you just slap the right paint on it, so this is about 30+ hours of work to get this just right. I did a lot of this by my self too.

$50 is alot of money to some people. I can think of some good stuff to spend that on. But i agree with the 10mins to start firefox and that. 10mins is nothing. Do somthing else if you don't want to wait.

I would love to have a custom game system that fits my liking...if you make no money, why not just wait until you get a job? Or forget about the whole thing altogether? Its nothing really to look back at when your 30 years old so you shouldn't really treasure it that much. here is my new quote, If it works nothing else matters.

Hello? 3 Years until I can be considered for a job!!! I know I won't care about it in 30 years but so I like it and spent time on it. I don't want to forget about it even thought it isn't that major but it was really cool.

Just an idea and a thought, maybe if you get money off grandparents for christmas and birthdays, save that up And you could even get a job now, simply by mowing lawns for your neighbour or washing a neighbours car, simple things like that, i know that it doesn't pay much but if you save all money you get you would have enough.

And $50 is heaps to me, their are so many things you can buy, games, cds, dvds, cloths

And can't you hook up an old monitor to your new machine?

As long as it's not a direct reflection of the sun, no. You're more likely to get retinal damage from the monitor's image itself.

So you are saying as long as you can't see the sun on the monitor it is ok, and I *shouldn't* get retinal damgae by that? Well it is just mainly really bright outside and it come into the windows and then it just somehow gets to the monitor...
