| I'm sure you all know how it started -- that joke layout I made that netted me a one month ban and, assumably, another strike (heh). After again asking Acmlm what the page to strike a user was... Acmlm, in IRC They seemed to figure out it was mostly just a joke, but Yiffy Kitten remained a bitch and followed through with the promise he made in the Profile Editing Requests thread: Originally posted in Yiffy Kitten in the Private Area (here) Which, as evidenced by the sudden appearance of three instances of "Xkeeper" in my blocked layout list, obviously happened. Acmlm informed me that this was, in fact, horribly coded: Acmlm, in a private IRC chat So I put two and two together and made a small script that loaded that page 25 times and kept refreshing itself. Acmlm joined in for a while, I pasted the link in #rom-hacking, and the effects were pretty instant (constant "Couldn't connect to the MySQL server!" errors). The irony being they were contemplating putting this stupid thing into every page, so I'm sure they'd have almost as much of a strain... Past that, they finally got their brains working and simply made it admin only, so that Yiffy Kitten could still abuse it. Shortly after, I found myself unable to edit various things in my profile (after being banned/unbanned again). Turns out they added another piece of code to the board: Acmlm, in IRC again Oh well, doesn't matter, I can live without those anyway, but I still think it was horribly stupid of them to just fuck up the code however they please, since I'm aparrently more important than the broken schemes or various other problems with the board right now. I'm honored. Continuing, onto the pink day: Acmlm, in IRC Whoops. Oh well, all in good fun and it's not like it admined everyone. A little insanity is good sometimes. Then a while later... Acmlm, IRC, same old shit Which, as I'm sure you know (after being admined) led to me demoting everyone and attempting to (for about an hour) keep various people from getting demoted/promoted and keep things from going insane, before going to bed and finding out TG took it upon himself to put everyone back. So, now you know what was me, what wasn't me, and what actually happened. Oh, and for the record, the "Thank you, Acmlm, for ___________" lines posted in the staff forum were, in fact, him just making up random garbage. Anyone that has access to the code can easily find out that there is no such text in any file. |

| Anyone can use an IP spoofer and exploit a bunch of crap on a board. Attempting to find a hacker is pretty useless, not a ghost of a chance unless you too have some hacking knowledge. | |||
