Looks good man! I especially like that you made the older graphics more advanced rather than using the same old SMW graphics.

That is pure greatness. My only suggestion is to use different clouds, but it's probably because I never liked those much anyway.

Nice HDMA effects there, Sgraff87. I suggest to try to make the clouds look more 16-bit-ish, since it looks a bit 8-bit. Also, try to make the Koopas that come out from their shells look a bit like when they are in their shells, walking. Like Bloodstar said, how are you going to make those platforms in the 3rd level of the 1st world and the boss in that level? Also, I think you should change the Goomba graphics. I think it looks weird. And make the red grass in the last screenshot green like the others.

I was going to change the clouds to resemble the ones from the original gameboy, but updated. The shell-less koopa is also going to be updated.

The bosses will be in a different level than the castle. You will go through the door to get to it. That goomba just looks strange in that pic because it is at it's second frame. The first makes sense of it.



Also I am keeping a red piece of grass around to keep diversity. So it does not get repititive with the green.

In that case, if there is a red piece of grass, then the other pieces of grass in the group in which the red piece of grass is part of should also be red.

Overworlds are mandatory; all SMW hacks have to have them or the game won't work right.

But that does bring up a good point. What do you plan to make your overworld look like?

Thank you everyone. Yes there will be a overworld map. Each land will be an island like it says in the original gameboy SML manual. Plus I am going to put in a few bonus levels. I am not sure how they will be, but it should be cool.

Legoman only posted one post here giving his opinions on my shots. I do not think he needs to be banned. But hey, I have not been here as long as you guys, so I do not know.

Can't wait for the demo. And I can wait even less for the full. So, what overworld map(s) have you made for the Birabuto, Muda, Easton and Chai Kingdoms?

It'll have to. Unless someone (read: me ) finally figures out how to redirect deaths, level exiting, and level completion to another level.
