Seem that we got a bit of confusion here, maybe anyone talking about a different car that the one i'm talking about, the one I'm talking about is the one that you put water in, it change it to hydrogen and oxygen via electrolyse, then tranport the hydrogen to the motor and combust it, just the oxygen rest from this process

what the car anyone was talking about?

This capitalist pig society will never see any of these wonderful things as long as the greedy oil companies are in charge. Hydrogen cells, free energy, all this technology is SO close to being usable, but the oil companies do everything in their billions of dollars of power to stop it, from 'proving' them fake in clearly-rigged tests, to confiscating everything the developers own for some BS reason, and probably more. Wake up and smell the gas, people.

Most people, I believe, are wary to take on such a change. They are used to have gasoline powered cars, and that's not going to change quickly. Hopefully over time, the majority will have electic cars, hydrogen cells for energy, ect... but I don't see it happening soon.

Edit: Post 2000!!!

Danielle is right. People don't like change, and I doubt if cars will be hydrogen-powered for a long while. Does anyone think it could happen by the end of the century?

End of the century? Could be a possibility. I'd want to try out those cars. I hate pollution

Has anyone seen these 'smart cars'? They supposedly run on hydrogen. Unfortunately, they're ugly as sin. Really small, almost like a box, and only seats 2 people. I've seen a few go by here.

There are plenty of electric cars out there, but none that are perfected enough to run without ANY gas at all.
To make it worse, those cars are really expensive, so people won't go out of their way to buy a feul efficient car if they don't have to. Yet.

Yeah, that's probably why I don't see any electric cars around here. My mom says it'd make the bill go up high charging it or something..she wants a car that runs on grease or was it like..french fry oil since she saw it on this show where they built one

Yup. Electric cars still need gas. Even if they don't use it directly, the gas needed to produce that electricity still counts And alternative energy sources? I doubt it, as long as George W. Bush is still alive. After all, everyone knows the REAL reason he invaded Iraq...

One of the major reasons people don't buy electric/hydrogen/whatever cars is that they don't get a lot of horsepower and aren't always very reliable. And in a way, it's funny. What were the first gas-powered cars like? Slow, unreliable, and expensive. But people kept developing them until they were fast, reliable, and (relatively) cheap. It's the same situation. Problem being that oil companies don't want the technology developed. Right now you can either get a somewhat expensive, slow, and not always reliable electric car, or a REALLY fast, perfectly stable one for a ton of money. (There's one in Japan called Elica or something... ridiculously fast, and perfectly usable. Thing is it costs $350,000, and about half of that is batteries alone. Also, it has 8 wheels! )

Actually, I do remember hearing about Electric cars. How they can only go a certain amount of distance before they needed to be recharged or something. They were only ideal for in town and not for long distance traviel.

8 wheels? Kinda cool but it probably doesn't look very sexy .

I'd wait to ever get one..little cars I dont like much..and the price or course..and just nah no thank you to that still until they become more reliable.

Oh, it does. It's almost a shame it doesn't have any holes in it. What?

Uh... Trapster. It's electric. It doesn't use any gas. Not directly, anyways.

Yeah, it's fully electric. Hence why the batteries are so expensive.
