I've been having this drool problem lately. When I wake up from naps, my mouth is open and my face is in a gross puddle.
I used to not be like this. Then I started a while ago.. then I stopped completely. I never drooled. A few weeks ago it started up again. Could something be causing this?
It only comes from naps though. Sleeping at night doesn't cause me to drool or anything, and I am fairly controlled during the day. Does anyone else do this?
It's storytime folks.

Almost all the time I wake up and see this huge puddle of drool on my people and makes me want to say, wtf. That happens in naps and sleeping at night. If I'm really tired, I'll be drooling a lot during my sleep.

Um, I have never drooled when I was taking a nap or slept during night.

Maybe you´ve dreamt something and don´t remember exactly what it was. But that wouldn´t cause it several times.

Sometimes I've woken up and had the pillow be a bit wet, but it doesn't happen all that often, and it's not really to much anyway. Though, I always seem to wake up with a very dry mouth. Which is why the first thing I do in the morning is to chug down a big, good, cold glass of water.

I... occasionally drool in my sleep but I have no idea why. Most of the time, actually, it happens in the morning between the time I first wake up and the time I really wake up.

Maybe it has something to do with the body, I dunno. I just move my head to a different spot on the pillow anyways.

You open your mouth while you sleep or press your lips against a pillow. It's natural for your body to let go when you're asleep. It could be due to moisture or the lack of it. What's even worse is when your room is so dry your nose bleeds while you sleep. I had that happen about twice when I was little.

I used to drool all the time while sleeping. Still do, sometimes. Truth be told, I don't even give it a second thought anymore.

I drool when I sleep, most likely because I sleep face down a lot, so my mouth is pressed open against the sheets/couch/whatever I'm on.

When I nap, too but, not very much, the rest just ends up being saliva built up in my mouth, which i think is like the grossest feeling in the world...but yeah. Sometimes when I sleep...not as much. My sister drools and snores when she sleeps

Ask a family member or whatever if you're snoring.

That also means that your nose isn't getting quite enough air, I think, so breathing out of your mouth can also be a cause for your drooling.

I think I have a permanent mark on my couch from where I drooled on it. I think I might just have to take a picture of it.

I know for sure I don't snore so that can't be the problem on my end. And Ashley doesn't strike me as the snoring type.

First you say "Eww" and then you want to see it?

Heh, I´d like to see it too. "And Ashley doesn't strike me as the snoring type."

For as long as I can remember, I've slept on my stomach with my head turned to the side, so yes, I've had my fair share of drooling on my pillow. Some nights are worse than others in that respect, which I can't really think of an explanation for

Say I went to sleep tonight, and didn't drool on my pillow at all. Tommorow night, I could wake up and find one side of my face wet That really isn't good either, considering that the only other pillow I've got in my room is on my top bunk. One of our cats likes to go up there and lay on the pillow, amongst other places. She's known to shed alot, so if I were to use that pillow, I'd risk the chance of waking up and having a bunch of cat fur matted onto my face Thankfully, that's yet to happen.

It seems logical to think that sleeping on your back would solve the problem, but I find that extremely uncomfortable for some reason. If you haven't tried it yet, Yoshi Dude, you could see if sleeping with your face towards the ceiling helps at all.

In short though, I drool in my sleep as well, and some nights are worse than others that way, but I've yet to find out what controls the amount of drool

Yeah, the first is you being a cleric, Colleen. The second thing is that you´re green.

I don´t snore either. Not from what I know. I´ve never gotten any complaints about it. My pillow has never been wet either. Maybe once but I don´t remember.

Haha, I definitely don't snore. I've had people check that for me from time to me, just in case.
I've been having some pretty bad allergies lately.. I don't know what snoring comes from, but I'm still afraid I'll start one day.

Karadur, I can't sleep like that. I'm always on my stomach. So I guess that's my problem.

And I can´t sleep on my stomach. I did that when I was little.

Now I sleep on my back or on the side.
