| What's your favorite book? What was the last book you read? What was it about, and who wrote it? What did you like/dislike about it? I'm currently up to the last few chapters of Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. Originally, I'd assumed (and feared) this would break away from my usual diet of fantastic fiction, and delve more into the factual. In ways, I was right. In other ways, I was pleasantly surprised. Atlas Shrugged is a fiction novel focusing around the life of Miss Dagny Taggart, head of her own railroad, and the events surrounding what could well be the economic end of the world. Rand's philosophy was geared towards Objectivism, and she seems to have tightly wound it into this story. I don't think I'd ever go as far as to say that this was my favorite book. There was far too much about it that ached with redundancy, as it preached on and on and on. It was a really well-written book, and I was captured by most of it, but a lot of what happened in the story focused around Objectivism to an unnecessary degree. Anyone with intense intrest in philosophy or economy (more specifically, capitalism), I would recommend this book to you as food for thought. To the folks who read a lot, but generally don't pay much mind to political concepts, I really don't know what I'd recommend. But it's there, and it's a damned good story. |

God, I have way to many fav's, and I'll name them  Moneyball, Bridge Over the River Kwai, The Eagle Has Landed, The Eagle Has Flown, Confessional, Trophy For Eagles, Eagles At War, The Da Vinci Code, another book that I ALWAYS forget by Higgins with Eagles in the title, most Clive Cussler books, The Godfather Jurassic Park and the Lost World, I'll stop now, but I could go on forever. Last book, The Godfather. Likes: Entire mood of it. Dislike: Feel like it's been done before, but that's only because I read it so many years after. |

| The last book I read was Fight Club. One of my recent favorites, however, is A Clockwork Orange. It was actually a selection for an English assignment, and I ended up loving it. It's one thing I always be grateful to my 10th grade English teacher for. |

My favorite of all time is Rainbow Six by Tom Clancy. It's 1000+ pages, but I just couldn't put it down. I'm not much of a Clancy fan aside from in that instance, but a teacher at my school saw me reading it and was kind enough to bestow upon me his entire Clancy collection. I was flattered and grateful but, honestly, I'll never read half of 'em  .My favorite author is R.A. Salvatore, and the last book I read was one of his: Canticle. It's the first of five books that comprise "The Cleric Quintet" and begins the tale of a young priest named Cadderly. 'Priest' in this instance refers to a fantasy-type, undead-smiting spellcaster . It takes place in the Forgotten Realms, so I couldn't resist.I've read most of Salvatore's books that feature his trademark character, an elf named Drizzt Do'Urden. I've never thought them exceptionally well-written, but the plots and excitement cannot be beat. In a similar vein, the Left Behind series that I began recently features an engrossing story but surprisingly amateurish writing. |

| Tinzeee: The Animorphs series was something I took a look into when they first came out. The main series didn't really impress me at all. In my opinion, they flat our sucked. However, the little side "Chronicles"(Andalite, Hork-Bajir, Elemist, etc.) that stemmed from the series turned out to be pretty good. Jarukoth: I want to have your abortion. |

Finished? Mick Foley's Foley Is Good (And the Real World Is Faker Than Wrestling). Second half of his autobiography, covering from when he won the WWF title (and Tony Schiavone gave away Raw's results on Nitro) up until about 2001. Really hilarious... the chapter entitled the Legend of the Penis Suplex is required reading.  Currently plowing through Bill Reynolds's Lost Summer. That's about the 1967 Red Sox and their beyond-improbable run to the World Series. Kinda parallels the 2003 Marlins. Except their uber-playboy shortstop didn't have his career cut short by getting beaned. Toxic: VERY good. It's on my Really, Really Short List of Good Books. Along with Ball Four, but there's room for more that I own but haven't read (there's tons).  |

| I just got done reading "Go Ask Alice" last night. It was so sad..it was a real diary of a 15 year old drug user and how she go into them and her adventures when she got stoned..everything was changed of course like the names and some of the events. The author was annoymous. I liked how it was detailed into her life but It just made me mad sometimes how much she changed when she was on the drugs compared to how she was when she was off. She was two completely different people. I think I might read Holes . I told my sister I'd read that book so I guess I will. My favorite book umm..I read Grapes of Wrath but I didn't like it too much. I liked the Maltese Falcom for some reason. Maybe I liked the mystery . McTeague was really weird but a bit interesting. |

| Tinzee - I've read it (or at least most of it) for a religion class, but it definately doesn't go under my list of favorite books... What's your favorite book? Sphere. It's one of those books you start reading and can't put down until you have finished it. It will basically keep you guessing until the end. What was the last book you read? The Drawing of the Three by Stehpen King. It is the second book in the Dark Tower Series. | I have Stephen King's Different Seasons on my shelf. I believe it's the only King book I've read, but it's a pretty good read. | I read the whole Kid's Bible..does that count? XD Last book I read: WICCA - Night's Child, by Cate Teirnan. I thought there were 15 in the series, but tinzee says there's 18? Wicca is called SWEEP in america.. weird! Anyway, it's about this girl called Morgan and her finding out about her heritage and discovering magick and love.. pretty cool series Favourite Book: I don't know.. I love the Harry Potter series, although the fanfics based on it are pretty awesome too. I've read all of the LotR, which are great books but Tolkien really does go on and on with the imagery.. The Heaven series by Virgina Andrews (VC Andrews) is great, I've read four of them I think, all of them in the series besides Web of Dreams i think it is, the last one. |
