Ok, I know nothing about hacking. Im a total idiot. But I was wondering if there was a way to exchange sprites on Gba. I want to be able to play a different characters on Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories (like cloud strife) and Naruto: Saikyou Ninja Daikesshuu 2 (like any of the other ninjas)

If the GFX aren't compressed, open the ROM with Tile Layer Pro and redo the sprites, but if the game is compressed, you have to try to decompress them to see the GFX. Lunar Compress can help you with that, or so I think.

If you're trying to work with compressed GBA formats, UnLz.gba is great to use if it works for that game.

What is this "UnLz.gba" you speak of? This could really help me, cause I was looking for some sprites in another game and, even though I knew they were, came to find them compressed :/

I would, but now I'm not at my computer How exactly does it work? Like how does it uncompress and recompress? And does it only work with specific games, or does it go by a common scheme?

It's a windows-tool. Meaning it has a GUI. You can just open ANY rom and cycle through it. The tool has a sniffer included which automatically common LZ77 patterns and then decompresses them and displys the result immediately. So you can just cycle through the rom and export the matching areas as raw-image or with an own palette as a png-graphic. You can then use a tile-editor or an ordinary graphics-editor to edit the graphic, reimport using the tool and save the changes^^

That's basically it

I found some images of it and the only sites with it was some kind of russian and broken pokemon links. After about 3 pages I found it though. This looks just like what I needed. Thanks
