| No, they chose him because he was young and was considered to be a Pope that wouldn't make any sweeping decisions during a long tenure. Look at how that turned out. Oh, and I lost a lot of respect for Benedict XVI today. Wanting to shrink the church in order to remain moral integrity? Didn't we try that once...And it failed miserably? |
