Haha, well that kid didn't think things though before he posted.

XD

Quite possibly the best post I've read in the last two months. Gotta love it when the kids get busted. This sort of thing needs to happen more often. Then again, if she didn't want him staying up that late, him having a computer in his room is mistake number 1.

Ahh, the joys of reality MMORPG's.

Haha, he got seriously owned. XD

I'd never imagine my mom browsing the same fourms as I do - she doesn't even like video games. And besides, she doesn't care - I'm living on my own, and I can do what I damn please. =P

I would hate to be that guy when he read that post, if he even got a chance to at all I actually can't think of many Moms I've met that were knowledgeable in computers. I know my friend Josh's Mom used to know (and still might) how to boot the computer up, and where to find Solitaire. As I understand it, that's the only thing she really used the computer for, although she was quite good at it.

The one Mother I can think of that I can see doing something like that would be our teacher back in a night course I took at St. Clair College a couple years ago. The course had to do with advanced HTML, so she would've known, and have had to be active in regards to the internet. I never really pictured her as the type of person that would be into online games though

I know my Mom simply knows how to turn the computer on. That's it, seeing as she doesn't have a profile on the computer, since she doesn't know how to use it, and if she really needed it for something, she could use the Guest account. I suppose it would be neat if she was more knowledgeable when it comes to computers, but I like the way things are now, because I can get away with things I wouldn't be able to otherwise

Quite a funny thread, especially reading all the suggestions the members gave for what movie she should make her son watch

I couldn't. It just doesn't add up. It is illogical.

This is one funny thread... I feel sorry for that Brion guy.

However, i'm quite sure it will be more common with moms playing online games in twenty years or so. So expect to find more cases like this one in the future.

Honestly, i'm glad that I don't have family members posting here. xD

Hah, I´ll try to get your sister registered here just to tease you.

I don´t even play it and I don´t have time either. My mom wouldn´t play it as she doesn´t play on the computer.

Best... parent... ever.

ALL of the parents around here have no connection to games in any way... its saddening

My mom knows how to use a computer... but thats really it... both of my parents have jobs that involve a computer, and I know more than them most of the time

Like the people said... that guy got OWNED. XD

You guys would actually want your mom to play WoW, or post in the same forums you do?

I can't imagine the horror.

Now THIS will surprise you: My mom is the (almost only) reason I play WoW. She was playing it one day when I just happened to walk in. Of course, I wasn't very surprised, seeing as pretty much my whole family plays D&D and videogames, and my mom was previously addicted to EverCrack. But somehow she convinced me to try WoW after the horrible family drama that erupted when she played EQ. I am hooked, and it makes me sad.

On-topic: It would suck to have a mom who reads the same forums. I can't imagine her reading half the stuff I say here. Ditto for dads. The poor kid is stuck in an awful situation, looks like.

Oh man...I'm still tearing up on that one. It just took me a second to hit me. Woo...

I'm not really used to elder folk playing vid games. It's too 'kiddy' for them most times.

Um no, let's not go into that. What if my parents saw those old layouts from Keikonium and Melvin's with the you know what? I probably wouldn't be allowed to come back here.

XD!!

You'd get kicked off from them seeing that you look at pr0n in layouts? That's pretty sad. :\

Hey, just remember: Our generation isn't getting any younger. There are more and more older folks getting into gaming every year. I can just picture it in the MMORPGs of the future...
