| What do you do during power outages.. We tend to get creative around here. Everytime we have one around my area some friends come over and play acoustic guitar. Its nice to see who can still play decent without seeing the frets at all. Me that's who can. Sometimes we'll play paintball in the dark, its pretty fun except the house ends up getting red and blue spots on it  |

Um..I wait until the power comes back on  . I don't do anything like that  . When I was younger I uhh..went outside to play or take a walk. We don't get power outages very often unless it's during the winter then we just stay in the house  |

| I love playing my DS because it doesn't need electricity. Also it has light so I can still play during the night. I rarely have any power outrages in my town though. | |||

| We haven't had a power outage that lasted over five minutes in years. So I don't really do much except curse about resetting my clock. I hate that clock. When California had that electricity problem, my neighborhood was spared the outages. All of my friends and such were having so many issues, and I got like two short outages in the whole ordeal.. I really lucked out. |

| We end up having them for as long as 4-5 hours in my area. Its like an expected thign when it does happen. I remember once it lasted almost 4 days. Hopeing that never happens again |

| In the recent months, I can only recall one power outage, that was caused by an extremely violent thunderstorm. There's also that widespread power outage that we experienced a while back (2003, if I remember correctly). Aside from purposeful power outages (like when my Dad needs to shut off the power to the upstairs bathroom, as he's redoing it), those are the only two outages I can remember that happened somewhat recently. In the event that we were to experience a power outage in one hour (or another amount of time), here's what I'd likely do: :: Go home, get my DS, and sit on the porch playing games until I was bored with that, or the battery needed to be recharged. :: Find somewhere cool of breezy to sit, and read some sort of book. :: If it's uncomfortably hot outside, suggest going to Mitchell's Bay or somewhere similar to swim, until the power comes back on. :: Start cleaning up my room, as it's something that's needed to be done for quite a while now. :: Have a bath / shower if we can't go swimming. It's another way of cooling off if it's too hot. :: If there are enough willing people around, play a board game or something else close to that. So there are a fair number of things I'd do in the case of an outage now, but most of the time I find myself wondering when the power will be back on, instead of deciding what I want to do In short though, in the event of a power outage that lasts longer than a couple minutes, I'll most likely do one of the above |

I play my GBA SP or Nintendo DS.  Or listen to music using my portable Cd player. Or talk with my family or friends/cousins if they´re there. |
