Basically, I'm wondering if it's possible to connect to the internet like: My laptop's network card -> my desktop's network card -> ethernet -> cable modem. I haven't found any information regarding this. ;( |

if you make an ad-hoc connection between two wireless cards then you can... but that would require you to have another card on your desktop and something to bridge to the two cards on your desktop |

WinXP can bridge two network cards on the same machine... You have to select to active network connections, right click on them, and select Bridge Connection. (edited by neotransotaku on 08-18-05 12:33 PM) |

Going from wireless network card to wireless network card isn't possible, AFAIK. It's like trying to go from a cell phone to another cell phone without a tower. You're best off getting a router. Even if you CAN use the desktop to bridge the connections, you're going to be dealing with serious lag. |
