| ok, here's how things break down. Onyx Dragoon is a custom character that i have made mostly from FFIV's Kain's sprites. Some are 100% custom, some are minor edits, some are recolors. What I plan to do with Onyx Dragoon is to implement him into various animations and possibly 2-d rom hacks, if i get enough knowledge of the game that I plan to edit. All of the animations, if you visit my site, are standard GIF files. Someday I hope to upgrade to flash animations. Also, the name Onyx Dragoon came into my head around last fall. I have been trying to perfect him since. | Thanks to everyone for your comments. I am sorry I have not provided you "artists" with the quality you expected in terms of art. Perhaps you will enjoy the animations better, which is one of the main reasons Onyx Dragoon exists. Also, instead of complaining, how about one of you help me edit the spritesheet to fit your standards? |

| Try 'General Gaming' for this type of thing. I think the recolor is pretty cool, but if you post this kind of stuff in 'Modern Art,' be prepared for some hardcore feedback. They like to see originality here. | |||

Offending you would be to take your artwork and make it worse. But I've modified other artwork that none of you have contributed to. So there's no real reason to be angry. | Let me make an analogy for you. Let's say that shit paintings - the art of slinging shit against a canvas - was started today by one guy. Someone notices and goes "Oh, that seems like a neato way of expressing ones self. I think I'll try it." However, this fad eventually becomes popular overnight, and while there may be the few who have the art of shit sling down to a T, the majority of people are using the wrong textured shit, or are just doing the same thing as everyone else. Eventually, because of the majority of the shit paintings being the same thing over and over, people start to despise shit paintings, and the real artists - the ones who actually bring shit paintings to a whole new level - are ashamed. Sprite recolors/edits aare the same way.While edits can be cool, recolors were only nice the first few times. After that, they turned into plain, boring shit. |
